  1. Re: [REQ]: Advanced Droid Tactics

    Mograst thks for resharing!

    now for the approach:

take the GMT offset of your broker and use this as chart0

then open three additional charts once with chart0 - 2 hrs offset (manual)

    once with chart0 + 4 hrs offset and finally chart0 + 6hrs offset.

How you now setup your S1 and S2 references depends on your trading style. Which option do you want to use?

the one with no interaction? Full interaction or mixed?

    cheers,

  2. Re: RAR, ZIP, PDF, Password Cracker

I have finally come across a winrar pwd cracker which seems to be also able to deal with multi packed rar filespackages:

    h**p://rs360.r@[email protected]/files/168007414/Winrar___v_3.80_______WinRar_Password_Remover___v_3.5.2__.rar

I am currently running it against the bain software/video package and will share the password in that thread once I have it.

I have not checked the link 100% for virus/malware so pls be aware and protect your computer thoroughly!

Mine didn't show anything in the packed but better be safe than sorry.

  3. Re: [Need Info] Forex.com (Gain Capital)

    Hey,

I have them in life account on their propriatery platform and on MT4 (UK branch)

As others posted for ASIA scalping not always good. They accept scalpers BUT its dealdesk.

So if you can live with that, then they are OK!

Support is usually good, though today they only opened market about 55 mins late due to some system issue? This has not happened to me before and I was slightly upset I have to tell.

For liquidity/requote: I use their free VPS service (Gaincapital offers when having a 10K account a free VPS when turning over somewhat 5 std lots/month) and here I get a requote as the clicking ORDER is delayed from action and thus in volatile market scenario (normal spikes) you don't get the click reflected fast enough.

On the PC based MT4 platform or in EA have not experienced any requote yet!

I have comparison from FXCM, Varengold, Metatrader ForexMetal, FXDD and from my POV I would rate them in the top 30%, the only reason why I am not 100% satisfied is that I have xperienced the following:

    1) spreads vary and are not top edge

    2) I have seen some sort of stop running from the marketmaker if your stops are too close (same time I saw up to 8 pips difference vs other MT4 platforms or ECN)

Anyway I like them and so far I am having success in using their platform.

    Hope this helps!

  4. Re: ivy bot - decompiled

    any more forward testing results?

To me it seems like totally overhyped marketing scam

The code is 'simple' the optimization obvious.

What is so 'great' about a robot being optimized/currency pair? NOTHING...

  5. Re: MoneyManagement material

    @simoniex

Well I can only agree to adrian1974 non of the posts helped yet.

    What I know:

    1) Set your stoploss and follow through, don't even think about it being hit when it is hit

    2) choose your position size initially already low enough to allow the trade to breath. It doesn't make sense to await a 100pip move but only allow 20 pips stoploss. A risk reward ratio of about 1:2 seems appropriate (meaning an expected 100pip move should cater for a 50pip stoploss breathing space)

    3) calculate your positionsize backwards: target profit -> stoploss together with overall drawdown acceptable makes your lotsize...

    4) once you are well enough in the money (hm this is again discritionary...), make sure to make this trade a free trade (using trailing stop or manually adopting depending on your trading style)

What I am curious about: is there more? What else can one do better in money mgmt?

So I do hope you can give more insight into the true asset of a real trader :)

  6. How to draw trendlines

I have been looking for advice on how to draw properly trendlines.

What is 'normally' taken? High/Low or Close?

How 'sharp' would you normally draw the line, what delat would you allow it to brake and reverse to still count the line as 'valid'?

Hey as usual any advice is appreciated!

  7. Hi Folks,

I was wondering if any of you came across a good money mgmt 'system'?

I know for sure it all comes down to good money mgmt, if you have a system that works out well only 50% of the time, with proper money mgmt I got told you can turn this into a cashcow.

Oposit a system with high degree of success (+80%) you can still loose your account if you don't follow rules.

I am not looking at advice: don't risk on any trade more than xyz% of your account but I am more looking into profound background as to why one should not 'ride' the equity curve, so to say adopt the risk on trade according to loss and wins.

To not get me wrong again I am not thinking at the double the risk every loss thing (martinggale?) but rather something opposite: defense your risk incase of loss or multiple losses encountered.

Your help and advice is much appreciated!
