I knew within a few days of purchase that I would never use this robot - backtesting showed that it would blow up the account (after the opposite trade with 5X the risk, it then reverses again and you are losing capital at 5X the initial rate until it devours all your capital) on Nov. 12, 2010 and came within one pip of blowing up the account on Oct. 12, 2010 (twice within a month!).
BEWARE!
The published track record shows no trade on Nov. 12, 2010. But when I backtested EU, clearly the account would have blown up on that day! No disclosure of the Nov. 12 danger!

I have used MT4 range bars in several occasions and never experienced this. If you think the lack of ticks could be the cause, you can try this little free tool

You can run it in the systray and it will send a tick at the interval you want to set. It's useful to backtest EA's as well. As the site where you can get it needs a registration and there is some trouble by logging in later, I decided to upload the program here. Enjoy :)

From watching trade videos from site i replicated Moving Averages. And judging by what i saw, basically rules are: Buy if MA 10 above MA 140 and when prices comes close to MA 10. Sell when MA 10 below MA 140 and price comes close to MA 10. Here's template.

Here's a method developed by a certain Mr. Tym3n W0rt3l a retired schoolteacher from down under. He says he devised the method after reading John Bollinger's book 'bollinger on bollinger bands'. Peronally I (herman) am quite impressed the method iseasy to understand, very well explained in the pdf and requires no special indicators, and most importantly really works.

A couple of newbies over at the BP forums took up the method to test it and recorded all there trades in a journal. Here's the journal of one of them, he started with a demo and surely but steadily increased his account balance to 56% from 27 july to 21 Sept (around 2 months) never risking more than 1.5% per trade.
 
Then he was so confident he upped his risk per trade and began trading a live 1k euro a/c and surely but stadily doubled that (well +90% actually) from 24th Sept to 13th dec, that is in just two and a half months trading just part time.
 
After reading the method pdf please read his journal for a better understanding.

Here is the EA that you can use with the BB closing stripped out. I have renamed it Script_Controller_EA. I have created a "new" EA as the logistics of removing all the BB logic and still keeping the original EA funtioning would have been too complex.
 
There are 5 files.....
 
1.....The new Script_Controller_EA
2.....The Bol_TP_Include files, which uses common functions. Replace your orginal include file with this one, as there have been changes.
3.....Buy Scipt
4.....Sell Script
5.....Slightly modified original Bol_TP_v4_Enhanced EA. This has been slightly modified to be compatible with the changes to the include file.
 
I have not tested this extensively, so I expect some bugs. Please report them here as usual.

Running since 14/11/2010 on 5k Demo / current version 1.7c
 
General Recommendations:
- Demo Test at least 4 weeks (longer is better)
- Don't rely only on the provided Setfiles. The results will vary from Broker to Broker. Is it due to spreads, range or whatever...
- Lower Spreads will as usual drive for a quicker basket closing but must not be an advantage towards the overall strategy. I have the EA running on Alpari and FXCM where Alpari is driving for a higher DD since trades are placed differently due to a different closing/opening... FXCM certainly does have higher spreads... Again, you need to find a setting for your Broker!
- Understand the strategy and the settings/effects applied!!! (Check setting triggers/details in the mq4 file while opening in the editor)
- Always use the News Filter standalone or in combination with other Filters!!!
- Account Limits: 10k for 0.1Lot; 1k for 0.01Lot => Leverage as high as possible e.g. 1:400/500 / On a Leverage of 1:200 halfen the Lotsize or double the account
- Don't trade month end/first. (can be set in the EA)
- Don't trade ADP/NFP and Monday after NFP (can be set in the EA)
- Use a SL per trade, consolidated StopOut or Stop trailing
- Use Single Basket while getting started
- Set your GMTOffset correctly
- Newbies might reconsider using till the we have got more experience and set to confidence!
