I have created a small ea to automate the trading with this breakout alert indicator. The expert takes the price values of the two horizontal breakout lines and if the last candle closes above the "top" line it places a pending BuyStop order above the last candle's high, or if the last candle closes below the "bottom" line it places a pending SellStop order below the last candle's low. The expert has money management, takeprofit, stoploss, and stoploss to breakeven functions as well.

The method I created several months ago has been great,even in sideways markets. Right now I am trying to make an EA out of it or possible create a robot. It is that good. Trade 4 pairs only and take 10 pips per pair with potential for a lot more. Will keep posted as things progress.

For those of you who have followed me through the years here at Indo know that I have looked at almost every method that has come along; some I have used daily such as Rebellion and SRS, two of my favorites. Lately with all the changes in the world financial markets forex trading is not the same as it was when those products were introduced. Most trading today depends on the long term trend which is eating a lot of accounts alive. Therefore, I have decided to play with my own scalping technique which so far is doing quite well. I am trading on six pairs only which affords me opportunities when a particular currency is facing a news release. Keep in mind I do not trade micro of mini accounts so scalping for me can be quite profitable. At $10 a pip on six pairs, a 5 pip move can be rather nice. Unfortunately I cannot become another Rita or Karl Dittoman and sell this idea if it does indeed prove profitable as there are no special indicators or "secrets" involved. In another couple of weeks I will have a pretty good idea as to overall profitability and will let my friends here know my rules if your are interested.

Just as an update to my earlier posts in this thread. I still trade the original Rebellion with the EA and I still use the human eye rule from SRS Trendrider. The only change I have made is that due to market conditions being somewhat different, I now trade on the 1 hour charts only and go for 20 pips. At certain times of day I will move my stop to 10 pips profit. This system has an incredible profit rate if you follow the rules strictly.

Great point!! Actually point #2 is not a low in the true sense of the word but the question is cleared up by looking at the QQE. The blue line is over the red line and above the 50. Personally I would use #1 for two reasons. First, it is most definitely a qualifying low whereas there is some debate about point #2. If there is EVER any question I will go with the most conservative approach as i NEVER force a trade. There are too many trades to choose from and if EVERYTHING is not PERFECT I will pass. You only need 20 pips net per day to get very wealthy. Don't force trades, don't get greedy, cover you a**, and follow the rules to the letter.

Actually no modifications, just rules. I trade on the one hour chart and when I get an arrow signal, for example a downward pointing arrow, I then look for the next previous low candle with 2 higher lows on either side of it and place my sell order 2 pips below that point. The reverse is true for longs. Pull up a EUR or GBP chart and check it out. Also, I only go for 20 pips. If I think it might move further, I move my stop to 20 pips profit. 20 pips a couple of times a day will make you more money than you can possibly spend.

It's a simple system, works on price action reversals. i like it on the daily and 1hr TF as it's fairly stress free with the potential for good R:R. Basicaly i posted it for people who are not getting very far with there current systems, try it and give it all your attention for 2 weeks and see how you go. Enjoy

I have been getting ok results so far with this (v.07) in fact it is the only ea that I NOW run. I have set it to trade only 30 min. after London up to 1 hr to NY close. You should never leave a EA alone but I do and I know this EA would do a lot better if I could babysit it.

Thanks for the advice. Actually i did do a simple spreadsheet but didn't have time to post it just now, i scrolled back the chart to roughly screen through the entries and exits.And this is what i came up with. I know its not perfect but i just want to share it.
And also i prefer live forward testing with small lotsizes, won't hurt that much :) As for the II Prob Hist, i will look more into it during live trading.

To address your question on why do i not use m5 timeframe. Its mainly because i am used to trading M15, i am used to seeing the price action in this timeframe. And if i were to change to M5, i don't think i can intepret the market movement more efficiently. Besides, i am trading my own M15 reversal strategy and looking at more than 1 pair's currency correlation so i find it better to focus on 1 timeframe. :)
