  1. thanks ocley, just started testing EUR/USD M15 and it opened a buy followed by another buy. Not sure what are the best high-volatility pairs, anyone have suggestions? Also FYI the expert relies on the indicator so download both and put the indicator in /experts/indicators/. Default EA settings have SL and TP = 0, should I have set those to something?
  2. In any case, I am trying to adapt strategy that I can work around with new ruling (no same pair hedging, FIFO, lower leverage, etc.. name a few) and this EA may work for me. Your answers help me clarify some stuff and I appreciate it! Cheers!

Nice, new NFA rules are a bit of a hassle for me since I'm in the US too. Good luck with your strategy, I'd be interested in hearing how it goes or forward testing it.

  3. Thanks for the help, I checked on my MBTrading demo and the box was all grayed out, not letting me set an expiration, even after I filled in the rest of the info. This also happened on my real MBTrading account, so it looks like they don't support expirations on pending orders.
  4. Under the Experts tab, I get the error 2011.05.11 12:30:49 Baila~ EURUSD,M15: Baila : Error opening BuyLIMIT order [baila : 2103 : EURUSD_PERIOD_M15]: (147) expirations are denied by broker /// for 1.4195 BAL :62.00000000 RAVI0_2_24_H4_0 :-0.59665063 RAVI0_2_24_H1 :-0.67038475

This is demo on broker MBTrading. Anyone know a fix?

  5. yeah i wonder how 1.35 is doing the "RemoteSafetyMode" parameter. It seems like a newsfilter, but I'm wondering if they manually control it. their email reads...

"In addition, you now have the option to use "remote trading suspension". When

enabled, this feature allows our server to temporarily prevent your system from

trading if overly adverse market action is anticipated."

  6. tomislav, some say that Profit Factor = Gross Profit / absolute Gross Loss , but I think the correct formula is:

    (profit - commission)/(max drawdown + commission)

The higher the Net Profit and the lower the Drawdown, the better the Profit Factor will be...

i've calculated and come up with it correctly...

profit factor = gross profit / gross loss

... basically a win-loss ratio. because pf 1.00 means your money is what you started with.

  7. this also from the website
