It think it would be useful to convert historical MT4 data (that are free and we can find virtually every instrument) in a format readable by Tradestation/Multicharts so that we can do all our "backtesting work" without the need to purchase expensive data from third party.

Anybody have experiance on that?

Guys, probably Price action Lab is better...and Trading System Lab is even better, but...who has these softwares?

I did my request because I found the old version of Builder already educated here and I belive (I'm not a great coder) that it wasn't so hard to find the updated version too :)

Speaking of curve fitting: well, yes, genetic programming are in some way all about fitting the past data...they aren't a ready holy grail by themselves! They are "only" a great tool to let us find what our eyes aren't able te find by themselves...after that there is an hard work to do with the results that these softwares give us.

anybody has the latest version 1.2.2 of this software? It seems that people can add custom indicators with this versino...it would be a great tool to have! ;)

Hi all guys!

I've found a very interestin tool for quick scalpers using MT4 paltform.

As you know to take a trade on MT4 we have to make 2 operations: click "new order" an than click "buy or sell" from the window that appears.

With the plug-in offered by the broker "masterforex" http://ecn.masterforex.org/instruction is possible to attach directly a button to the chart with which people can make a single operation to take a trade (for very quick scalps I think is very helpful).

Of course I've already tried to use this tool with other brokers but it doesn't works (I think it has something like a ddl recall).. so I would ask to the skilled coders here if is possible to educate this script in order to make it compatible with MT4 of other brokers.

I think could be an helpful tool for a lot of people

2 SL on eurusd and gbpusd and my small live account is even smaller now :((

strange thing is that backtesting past night I haven't that losing trade.. maybe bad quality data :-?

I think I'll keep on trading MDP live because I suppose is temporary bad luck (I've already seen in the past)

don't know if is better to turn S2 to false at least for now.. what do you will do?

I downloaded 2 demo gomarkets mt4 platform in 2 different pc.

I noticed that the first one seems to have fixed spreads (besides very low like eurusd 0.5 usdjpy 0.5 eurgbp 2 eurchf 2..).

Instead the other one has true variable spread.. and this at the same time.. :-?

anybody noticed the same thing or knows why? Who is live with them what spread has?

I think this may have something to do with the new FIFO rules.

I don't think so because I'm not runing it with an NFA broker.. thank you anyway

any idea on why this EA closed yesterday a negative position (it wouldn't! and I've checked that the parameter BlockNegativeClose was set to true)?

and why even if I'm running it on audnzd and eurchf it only take trade on audnzd?

This time or SIG real account i had quite bad results; on ATC good as always; on fxcbs strange as always as well.

I payed attention to fxcbs datas and the strange thing is that they seems not to differ too much from atc’s ..it just seems another EA at all.. :-?? ..it’s a pity because an ECN would be the best for this EA I think.

I’m just ignoring a little eurusd because it gave the hugest losses.

Unfortunately I’m not such a good coder to realize the modify we talked about to close all open order at a predefined time ..but I had another idea..maybe would be a good thing to thighten the stoploss because the EA win when the market range but when it breaks, the losses are too big.. I know that thightening the sl it will be hitten more frequently but the losses wil be much smaller.. just an idea

It looks like curve fitted since 05/2008

Performance is not good before that date.

I wouldn't be pessimist.. but I've noticed the same thing :(

If it would be a "superior intelligence" it should have worked well in the past years too.. :-?

Robominer & GT-Shadow are very good EA for patient people imho. :)

the problem is if the pair we tade with this EA break the histarical low and high (like eurgbp did with gridweaver)

anyway audnzd and eurchf should be more "stable" but.. we never know..

a question for Robominer and GT user.. which setting are you using now? rangestart, traderange and instances I mean..

and on which basis do you change it?

- Most broker use ZERO commission and LOW spread. Most brokers give both, not only 1.

are you talking about ECN? In market maker I don't belive anymmore :( ..anyway can you mention which broker are you talking about? :) many thanks

I’ve got a question..maybe a stupid one, but I’m here to learn.. :)

If opening an account where the minimum deposit required is very high.. like 5000$ with ATCbrokers and it's too much and too risky for me, I would have any issue if I make this 5000$ deposit and after few days (and eventually few very little trade) I withdraw something like 4000$? So it’s like I’ve deposited only 1000$? :D

excuse me if I've talked rubbish but I had this idea and I would like to know what are you thinking about it :)

I'm looking for the same thing.. expecially thight spread on eurgbp and eurchf.

I took a look to broco but spreads are to wide.. I downloaded nordmarkets demo but there aren't eurgbp and eurchf :-/

They told me the minimum deposit for a live MT4 account is 1500$. The commissions are 10,5$ per lot.

Here the results of tonight.. setting are the same of yesterday. This time very good eurgbp and bad eurchf. Eurusd bad again. No trade on fxcm.

On Sig I only traded eurgbp and eurchf. On Tadawul eurgbp eurchf and eurusd

I tried dragonpips v3_4digit but says “License not registrated!” anybody knows why? Instead no problem with v3_universal. May I know also which are exactly the differences between v3_4digit and v3_universal? Many thanks ;)

Come on,check you time settings,you did not set your time at all. on your fxcm you even traded on 15:37 which is extremely wrong

excuse me mecman2 I've found the mistake! Last trade I posted on fxcm was not by dragonpips but it was me I made it manually and posted by accident.. the time setting I used for fxcm was 20-24. Lliteforex 22-2 tadawul 21-1. All risk 50 lots 0.1 :) ...I keep on testing ;)

excuse me but..if I want still to use hedging.. couldn't I simply open 2 different account and make a buy in one and a sell on the same pair in the other one? :P

By now you are probably well aware that NFA has made a new rule that prohibits US Forex Dealer Members from carrying customer accounts with opposing positions in the same account past the end of the trading day ("no -hedging"). The rule also requires all positions to be closed in historical order, otherwise known as 'first in first out' (FIFO). There has been wide speculation among user groups what these changes may bring, how they are going to affect the Metatrader platform, how automated trading scripts are going to be affected (Expert Advisors) and what retail trading is going to look like in the future.

The 'No-Hedging' rule has been in effect for over a month now and as many of you can attest most of the statements of "doom and gloom" have been highly exaggerated. The FIFO rule implementation has been extended once already and there is continuous talks amongst all companies, platform vendors (software companies), and NFA as to what will be permitted and how things should be working out. In the midst of these changes some dealers have decided to use the rule changes as a selling point for their offshore service centers. They try to amplify the uncertainty and to play on the customers' fears. It is unclear if they are well equipped to maintain a properly operating MT4 platform in these jurisdictions. Most of them have very little history of operating one. It is certain though that it would be costly and inconvenient to close everything and move an account to an untested firm.

In the wake of all this speculation we at FXDD would like to assure you once again that we will do our best to make sure you can continue trading without having to worry about how things may change for you. We are working with the platform vendors, carefully examining all possible options, and working diligently with NFA on the progress of our membership. Our advice is not to make hasty assumptions based on the loose talk from people who spread rumors. If we are to make any further changes to our platforms we will make sure you are informed well in advance and you are given all possible options to consider. We will also try and keep you updated on a regular basis to let you know what our plans are.

I'm going to move my Alpari US to Alpari UK now... this new rules is terrible.

I asked Alpari UK and they said they don't have in program for next future to adopt the same nfa rules.. but.. if everybody goes away from nfa brokers, are you sure they don't force somehow other non-nfa brokers to adjust to their rules? :?:
