  2. Hello MQL4 Programming Experts

Could you please let me know the MQL4 Code for calculating Total Number of Orders (Buy + Sell) initiated by each Hedge EA with different Magic Number (e.g. 1234 and 9876).

I am running two Hedge EAs with different Magic Numbers on same currency pair in Demo Account. And I want to modify the EA to include "OrdersTotal" initiated by each EA

    Thank you!

    Sam

  3. Everybody needs different tools like everybody has a different face. They have to match your character. My work excellent for me but nothing comes for free, I spent many, many hours with testing the best for me.

Very well said, hermes!! I am begining to understand this fact! It has been an amazing (also mostly stressful and furtstrating) journey. I hope I would reach that final destination point.

  4. But for FXCM demo it was 1h55 AM ??

If you see this page http://24timezones.com/horloge_mondiale.php , you see that

    time(Paris) = time(London)+1

But time(Paris) = universal time +2 in summer time and time(Paris)= universal time+1 in winter time

I have backtested my ea on the metaquotes archives and i have suggested to set the hour to 13. I think that the metaquotes archives are in universal time, and so in France, the hour should be 15 in summer time and 14 in winter time. Your local time is not important, the important is your broker's time as the ea use it.

You must set the hour to 13 h in universal time.

    Hi Klod,

Would it be fair to say that the EA should be set to put two (1 Long and 1 Short) pending trades at 10 minutes after the London Open depending on your Brokers Platform time (no matter where you are located).

    Please confirm

    Thanks!

  5. Hi TBow,

This is a great analysis of what is required to be "living off of Forex". There is a some way to go for me to achieve consistency and I am still leraning.

Intrestingly, one of our very experienced member "eggzactly" offers many of these attributes (Consistency, Moderate to Low Risk, Approx 8% monthly return etc) and I am looking in to possibly joining.

Check it out. You may also find it interesting!

  6. I agree with you, worth a lot. Regarding making that consistently, no matter you trade 1M or 1k, your money management should be respected, so if you produce 5-10% monthly consistently, no matter leverage, or money you invest will modify that, just increase your profit in terms of $, not in terms of %, and that´s rule my friend is the "holy grail".

For instance one of the systems i trade, the most profitable, i know i can´t go more then 0.01 lot per 3.5k for low risk, and 0.02 per 5k on moderate risk, but this will give me average aroud 8% every month, people now think - well not good at all it only gives around 400 usd per 5k invested, well if you trade 1M it could gives you 80K, and that is the same thing, but in terms of $ is a complete different scenario.

As i told endless times, key is money management,is the holy grail of trading.

    regards,

    Hi eggzactly,

    Very impressive, I must say!!

If someone could consistently make 8% average monthly using proper Money Management with low to moderate risk, what more is required to be a success in Forex Trading?

I wish I could do that. I would be interested to know.

  7. Hi Smurf,

it's not an indicator but a script, but it does exactly what you want for all HL you put on chart.

for 5 digits broker it will display points so 21,3 pips will show 213 under the line.

    http://codebase.mql4.com/7785

    Thank you very much Freddy!

This is very similar to my requirements except -

    (1) I really need an Indicator rather than Script. As you know, one can use only one Script at a time. This creates a pop up box "yes/no" when I want to use another Script (e.g. Instant Close-All Script). It also removes this Script when I try to attach another Script

    (2) This displays pips on every single horizontal line (e.g. Pivot Lines), which I do not want. I really need Pips displayed on specified Lines only

I suppose some MQL4 maestro could modify the script you have mentioned and create an indicator as per requirements in my original post

    Could someone please help.

    Thanks!

    Sam

  8. Hello Expert MQL4 Programmers,

I searched the web and this Forum and could not find this anywhere.

Could you please write this simple indicator for me please.

I keep this indicator loaded to the chart all the time and it does nothing until at anytime I put a Horizontal Line (Color, Thickness and Style does not matter) with the name "Base", the indicator displays number of pips the price is away from the line. It displays this underneath the line.

If I put two horizontal lines named "Base1" and "Base2", it would do the same for both.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Sam
