Its really all about finding a strategy that works and sticking to it. My friend trades for a living and does extremely well. As far as NFA goes, we both moved to UK brokers because we use bots that require hedging. Consistency is the key. He consistency makes money every week, where I do not. That's why he trades for a living and I work for a living.

That news announcement is more political then anything. This is akin to senators grandstanding over the bonuses at AIG. Basically they want to remind everyone how insane it is that the united states caused the world financial crisis but in the end the US is still the safest place for your money.

I've been in the consistent break even business for about a year now. Just trying to break into the 5% who make money. :)
