  1. Stormin_Norman, you might be right. Resonance pattern trading has proven to be a very successful strategy, but I find it strange they would use resonance pattern matching just to scalp 7 - 15 pips. So, they may be lying and selling just a simple scalper instead. I want to see a trading statement as looking at the actual trades would tell us if it's an asian scalper or not.

Here's the live results they post, but doesn't show any individual trades:

Does anyone have any experience with this one? Test results on website look incredible! But, this is a very expensive bot. There's no way I would ever pay that much for a bot unless I could find solid proof that it's really as good as it looks. Please share anything you may have such as, information, test results, code, etc.

  3. After doing some homework, Shark 6.0 is basically a modified version of MegaDroid v1.21 whereby most of MegaDroid functions is either simplified (no stealth mode) and then put into dll libraries

Doesn't this EA take a lot more trades than MD? It would be really interesting to compare statements between this and MD.

  4. theozaki,

my friend just told me that he did not touch the Mt4 where Leo is running. It crashes without anything done - no checking of history, nothing at all.

    They released a crap-account-copier.

    It is almost unbelievable.

Hundreds of e-mails from affiliates, announcing the best thing ever , they have a support team, the manual was

poorly written so many users wrote to support for the simpliest questions because they "forgot" to write the answers into the manual .... and now people see that they obviously had not tested the account copier enough because

    it is crashing everybody´s Mt4.

    What a mess.

Yeah, they obviously spent a whole lot more time on marketing than they did on the copier and strategy!

  5. I'm a little confused now with the time change. I understand this is supposed to start 1.5 hours before London open. According to internet, London open is at 8:00am GMT. So, 1.5 hours earlier is 6:30am GMT. So, I would think it should start at 6:30am GMT all year around since GMT doesn't change due to DST, right? But, I had heard it was supposed to start at 6:30am London time which was 5:30am GMT before the time change. That would be 2.5hrs before London open GMT. Now with the time change London time is the same as GMT, but London open is still at 8:00am GMT? That means the strategy starts 2.5 hrs before London open (GMT) all year around?
  6. There is one major diff. in your tests besides the start hour (lol)

Perhaps that is what makes it or breaks it?

True, but we both have money management turned off on our backtests, so risk is irrelevent in this case. And if I try to backtest with money management turned on, it produces tons of ordersend errors and doesn't take trades.

Here's my test. I noticed you changed the start and stop times as well as the tp and sl, so I set mine exactly the same as yours for a true apples to apples comparison. Still can't figure out how all of yours are extremely profitable and all of mine are extremely unprofitable?

  8. And I get identical results with Advanced. It takes a 10K account and runs it down to $1497 when started Jan 1, 2010. This is with spread = 3.5:

  10. halcyonn, one thing that would be helpful is to know what the spread was when you ran each backtest. As most of us and you probably know, the MT4 backtester uses whatever the current spread is at the time the backtest starts for the whole test. This can be an issue when testing an asian scalper like this as spreads are often quite a bit higher during the asian session as liquidity is much lower. I run my backtests with MT4 offline so I have a fixed consistent spread for my backtests. I try to use a spread that is as close as possible to the average spread during the asian session. Now, this doesn't mean my backtests are better than yours as they may not be, but it would be good to know the spread for each backtest so we can compare apples to apples. I'm not sure if spread is the difference between your tests being profitable and mine being unprofitable, but it's something to consider.
  11. well,i have posted a reasonably good backtest.i think its a good ea.if you need better modelling quality kindly run a backtest ...my tools are not optimal for high modelling quality...sometimes though i get better modelling quality by accident.

I ran the same test as you plus several other years with normal and advanced versions with 90% modeling quality and could not get it to be profitable. I would be interested to see what your back test looks like at 90% quality to see if it is similar to mine.
