it´s your decision not to share it now, although it would be great to do dirty work and test it and post results from live sigma account, if I manage it.

As soon as I get access to live Sigma account, I´ll let you know. Maybe you change your opinion.

Ok so lets see you need a NDD VIP account with minimum $ 10 000.00 deposit to be able to run ISEA at Sigma.

Don´t be sad, NDD is possibility too, I think, spread is not so high there. It is not VIP with 0 spread, but could work. Trouble is live tick data for now. Where is it possible to get live tick data for SIGMA? (Till I persuade my friend to show me his live account, it may lasts days)

I have found out one interesting thing. A friend of mine has VIP account with them, has withdrawn more than ten times and everything OK. I asked him to put this EA on his live account, he did some research before. He doesn´t want to put it on live account, because he does not trust this ea. He found out several interesting things. Candles on demo and live account are exactly the same. Only difference is tick data. That means, that ISEA would make good trades, maybe not so often. Let´s presume, that SIGMA won´t cheat on traders no more. Only think I will try to get from him is live SIGMA account data. Will anyone help? :D :D

Emma Barter: All what you said is true and we sometimes cover the interests on behalf of our retail market clients but we still manage to make profit as the percentage of clients that keep their positions open does not exceed 25 % of total share and we still gain alot of spreads that cover for such losses and also we have another segment of the market called institute clients and trading houses which we do charge them spreads so as you see in all cases all potential losses are covered all the times and we are making good profit as well

No I only trade on M5 and M15. M5 - MA_Period 8 or 10 and M15 MA_Period 8.

 

Still doing test to optimize and get the best settings. Will post at some stage, a bit busy now.

When I watch it now, it seems to me, that ea is sometimes replacing sell and buy orders. Take a look at the trades opened on eurgbp.

Here is the update. Don't know know how this happened but it seems my mod is more profitable than the original ISEA. On the backtests on Sigma from 2009/07/03 - 2009/07/10

 

Original ISEA with 0.01 Lot $50.00

 

Broker - Sigma

MoneyManagement = false

lotsize = 0.01

UseHourTrade=false

All other setting Default

Net Profit = 361.64

Maximal DD = 5.79%

Relative DD = 5.79%

 

Modified ISEA

MoneyManagement=false

lotsize = 0.01

UseHourTrade = false

Slippage = 0

TakeProfit = 2

StopLoss = 29

MA_PipsAway = 2

Net Profit = $ 705.49

Maximal DD = 0.05%

Relative DD = 0.05%

 

You will notice I set Slippage to 0 this caused The EA to miss a few trades.

 

Attached is the new version it works like a bomb !! Still need to test and optimize for other brokers will post the .set as soon as I am finished with it.

You´re right, it will be fun, I believe you, you will do it! I must think of some ideas, that may make isea´s life longer at brokers.

Futron, one think came on my mind right now.

One of the main isea´s issues is high spread. What about some option in code, that would move the internal limit order.

I´ll explain. Let´s say, we have one pip spread. Limit order becomes market order, we want to buy at 1.1000, 1 pip spread - zero profit at 1.001. If the spread was suddenly increased to 2 pips - limit order becomes market order at 0.9999. if the price doesn´t go there, trade is missed. This would be good with steady spread.

It may seems stupid, only mi idea, maybe you added it there before.

Just sharing ideas. ;)

I have picked up a few small issues today during forward test on 5 digit brokers, working on fixing it. Will post an update as soon as it is done.

 

Oh yes and forget about using this on any US regulated trader seeing with the new Hedging Rulings.

 

It will either make only Sell's or only Buy's

I have to praise you for your work. It´s acting much better than before.

But I saw some small isues, though. Corrected no lo isea trades the same way as the original one,

but it still loses some trading opportunities. You know, if I was programmer, I wouldn´t bother you,

it would have been fixed and posted long time ago. But if you could possibly have a look, if you have some time, would be very appreciated. ;)

Try this I found there was an error in the StopLoss, fixed it to be hidden also.

Basically it did not open the orders due to an invalid stoploss.

Hi guys,

 

Just a quick update started the forward test on market open with a $50.00 account just for kicks.

 

So far it has made 4 trades all profitable with a 7 pip TP = $ 2.66.

 

Two trades currently open 1 x buy and 1 x sell - floating profit -$ 0.34

seems a bit confusing to me, do you have any idea, why modified isea places different trades?

no limit orders isea is less profitable indeed.

Like you and Locle, me too have ever confused with Pivot rules. But according to my experiences along with Pivot, I realized that William is right.

 

There is no right or wrong to what time you chosen. The right thing is always consistent with your basic Time Frame Trading Plan.

For example:

I'm actively trade on NY Session, so I prefer to chose 17:00 NY Market Close as the end of the day. My broker IBFX uses 24:00 GMT as the closing day.

 

So I suggest, first pick your time frame that suit you the best, and try to use consistent time for calculating your pivot. And I'm sure as like me, you will found your own answer about your Pivot time.

I have one thing to say. Pivot points come from pit markets. That means, stock traders were calculating it in the end of each trading day to have a picture, how could market act the next day. Stocks were centalized places with open time and close time for every single day. Forex market, is however, decentralized, and is traded 24 hours a day. So I don´t understand, where would be the point of using pivot points, if groups of traders calculate these points in different way... Markets are mostly calm during asian hours, but we know, how crazy it sometimes could be...If they do it this way, there´s extremely high probability, that pivots won´t work, because everyone has different pivots. On the other hand, majority of them calculates it at 00:00GMT. And now make a choice... :">

For those of us without decompilers & not really programmers, this is one of the few way to see if experts are the real deal or not! Happy to comment (& already have) on experience with an expert.
