Hi guys, I have been trading forex for about 6 months. I am using only metatrader4 platform. There are so many indicators and automated systems on MT4. I believe MT4 is the most popular platform around. However, I am seeing that there are other trading platforms like TradeStation and NinjaTrader. Do they have any advantages over MT4? Are the systems on TradeStation and NinjaTrader more superior? Can someone with experience on these platforms please enlighten me? Thx ^:)^

I used to be a member of the F-W group. The FAPTS is exactly the same as normal FAP but there'll be new settings posted on their forum every week for the group member. Usually they change stoploss to around 300 to 500. They will also tell you come up with a trading plan which is nothing more than using proper lot size to control your risk. And only trade once a day. The EA is not doing well so far. I backtested it based on 500 pip SL. It fails so bad. I don't think this is worth it.

 

I also tested their Grid EA but you need to be careful with it. It works in ranging market. It'll sell high, buy low. In trending market you need to change the settings, else this EA will damage your account.

 

So in my opinion, this does not worth the time.

Below is what I am running and used to run

FAPT - EURCHF, USDCAD, EURGBP (0.01 lot coz not doing well)

Megadroid is doing well,

M5G Cyborg (stop using already coz one loss is too much and wipe all the profit),

Euro-Blaster (removed coz the same reason as M5G Cyborg),

vForce Like EA - I am using v1.1 on EURUSD but it's not trading ver often

VS_EUROCROSS on EURCHF This is good so far and it's free

My md and fapt did not work well with IBFX. The wide spreads are the problem.

I used to run M5G cyborg on IBFX but not trading frequent enough.

I think you can consider FXDD as an alternative to IBFX.

It's very different.. Does account size having anything to do with number of trades made? :-/

Trading Setup

 

* Trade on daily chart (swing trading)

* 5 EMA applied to the close

* 10 EMA applied to the close

* Stochastic (10,3,3)

* RSI (14)

 

 

Trading Rules

 

Stop Loss = 30 pips

 

Entry Rules

Enter long if:

 

1. The 5 EMA crosses above the 10 EMA and both Stochastic lines are heading up (do not enter if the stochastic lines are already in the overbought territory)

2. RSI is greater than 50

 

 

Enter short if:

 

1. The 5 EMA crosses below the 10 EMA and both stochastic line are heading down AND (do not enter if the stochastic lines are already in oversold territory)

2. RSI is less than 50

 

 

Exit Rules

Exit when the 5 EMA crosses the 10 EMA in the opposite direction of your trade OR if RSI crosses back to 50.

They said they received a new version of EA which should lock in profit and fix issue of opening too many trades on small accounts. So they restart the forward test.
