... anyway my test with 99% modelling quality and real account results show that trading Hours for Shocker are best 21 - 22 (GMT) in Summer with DST and 21- 23 in Winter (GMT) ... this works with EURUSD, USDCHF ...

What is the easiest way to make Shocker trade only 21-22 GMT during the summer, please? I am using Shocker 2.0 original, by the way. What happens if I were to turn off the Shocker at 22 GMT with open trades?

After backtesting TMT many times, it is true that if you trade the EA in December and January, expect big losses.

 

I got a £1000 account to grow to over £20k just trading between February and November 2010 with 5% risk. I still think there is massive potential with this EA, you just need to know which days to leave the PC switched off!

 

It's just far to easy (I believe anyway) to get disheartened at a string of losing trades and try to blame the strategy. February to November on TMT = pretty good gains. Happy trading...

eakain 1.04 and 1.05 only difference is the trading hours, logic is the same, on 1.04 just set whatever your offset is -1, for example on FXDD is +3 and I put 1.04 +2, eakain 1.05 do this auto

In fact, I have live accounts at FXDD, and plan to use EA Kain on the FXDD platform. Have you used the EA on FXDD live accounts at all? If so, what pairs and how did you like it, please?

But off course you can try update by yourself and do backtest, cause different broker can give different result.

What are the main differneces between v1.04 and v1.05? Which version do you prefer/recommend, please?

looks like md 1.3 one added an extra hour earlier or changed times... 20-22 GMT at least. MD 1.21 traded 21-23 GMT

To my observation, MD v1.30 on FXDD live starts trading from 20:00 GMT, an hour earlier than normal with MD v1.21, if AutoGMTOffset set to "true". Could the AutoGMT function on the new version be flowed? Whatever it is, would that be better to adjust GMTOffset manually?

This is a real dirty Asian only trader with very sub-par performance.. We have so many of them here on II that make a good choice if you are interested in Asian trading like MD, Kain, etc. Personally, I would stay away from Asia only since it often trends and these EAs get killed. Better to stick with London + New York sessions.

Could you recommend any EA for London and/or NY sessions, please? A time to stay away from the Asian session!

another good trade results tonight. 5 trade, 5 winners. Somewhere in the EA, I think it has auto mechanic that it closed at break even level or time exit, etc.. (not sure). Because as time passed, EA start to close at near break even or slightly profit. (didn't wait for the full target). Not bad for 3 hrs of trading! :)

 

I think Alpari, GMT = 1 results better than GMT=2 If anyone interested in trading this EA, may want to experiment with GMT settings. I am really bad with GMT stuff. :( Especially summer time and winter time gmt difference, etc...

Just to be sure, you are using the version you posted in the previous page, #7? Very nice results, indeed!

Last night, EA boss opened 5 trade. 4 closed with profit, 1 close with very small loss (-1 pip. I think it was trying to close at BE and got slippage). What I like about this EA is it trade only couple of hours and done within a few hours. If it takes too long, you can manually close.

Which version are you using, please? You talked about Traxxon as well as EA BOSS. A bit confusing? By the way, are you trading EURGBP, EURCHF, and GBPCHF? Have you tried the new modified version also?

That's correct. For info about the original values for each pair, you can take a look at the picture that came with the zip file, but i guess you already noticed that :)

But, i don't know if that was your question, near the beginning, you can modify Timed_Closing. That turns it off or on, whether you're using logic 0 or logic 1-6. If you have it ON and have logic 1 selected, it will be ON, but you can't modify its values, only when the logic is 0 is selected.

Basically, the settings on the advanced setting zone are only for logic=0. I hope I answered your question.

So, Timed_Closing turns ON/OFF the feature only. If you want to modify the values, you must select Logic 0 as well as Timed_Closing as true?

Here's an example for this last part. If you have Timed_Closing as true, Logic as 0, and let's say you are trading AUDUSD. It opens a buy trade at 22:15. Usually it tries to take profit of 4 pips. Let's say you have Timed_Buy_TakeProfit set to "-1" and Minutes_Buy to 75. This means, if after 75 minutes your trade is still open, then the takeprofit will be changed from 4 to -1. As an example, if it bought at 0.9000, the initial takeprofit was at 0.9004 and after 75minutes it will be changed to 0.8999 and the trade will close if the Bid price is equal or higher than that.

I'd just like to clarify one thing, please.

If I want to activate Timed_Buy_TakeProfit; Timed_Sell_TakeProfit; Minutes_Buy; and Minutes_Sell in the Advanced Settings, do I need to set Timed_Closing as true, Logic as 0? If then, must I input all the other Advanced Settings manually: Hour_Start_Time and Hour_End_Time; TakeProfit; StopLoss; and NN1, NN2, ...NN8 parameters?
