seems OK, but don´t judge too fast, better let it run for some time and see how much mem is needed, when more of your EAs get active at the same time and when some trades are open to be managed. All this affects the max amount of memory you need.

...depends very much on the EAs... you should set up an MT4 -as you are planning to use it- on your home PC and see how much memory it consumes (i.e. task manager).

I didn't have the time to test it and the indicator wasn't the same version as used for the original piece of code. I don't even think the EA is the same, seeing that lines mentioned there are 500/600 and the EA has like 300 total. Anyway, I believe I tossed the indicator at the right position and I also updated it to pass the correct parameters to the indicator after Stormin_Norman told me it wasn't working correctly.

My $0.02: the ea is not good with or without the extra indicator.

nice to see you in here "in personam"... didn´t mean to critisize you in any way ;) . It was me who screwed´d üp in the first place...

but you are right, there are some different versions of blessing already, everyone is tinkering with another buggy one.

I guess thats why, s.o. from [edit:] "you-know-who" took it and rewrote it - that is the version you gave us. I am kind of confused myself right now and have gone back to trying to optimize the EA you sent without any new indicator.

There is something strange about the indicator, but I don´t think it is an error. Past_regression_deviated seems to be quite fat and slow... and when called with every tick, it puts the break on every test...

Maybe there is a better way to integrate it (as I said, sadly I am just a coding-shmuck...) and s.o. good at this will give us a little of his precious time.... ^:)^

The indicator has effect, that is the only thing I can say yet by turning it on and off. If it is good, well backtests too slow to tell right now....

help, this robot has potential ;) !

edit: O.K., it does this indi-call thing on forward too, a** soon as a position is opened... there is definitely s.th. wrong...

It seems to me that this way, the regression filter only applies to the pending orders section. I wonder, if this is correct.

And maybe the past-regression-deviated should better be hardcoded into the EA - backtesting is getting sloooohooow due to the tickwise indi calls...

When I run backtests it gives me "order send error 130" and then Error occured:invalid stops. I am using alpari for backtest??

...happens on ECN or STP brokers, i think. The EA does not place suiting market orders without S/L or T/P. With dealing desk brokerages (Alpari UK in my case) it works fine.

My few tests only showed not to start with account balances below 1000$ on starting lotsize 0,1.

EURUSD, M5 that is.

bbrain, is it possible to add a feature to set different lot sizes for different strategies (S1 and S2)? Sometimes I found S2 is not as profitable as S1, but I do not want to totally disable S2.

Hi Mike,

thats exactly what I wanted to do some time ago.

Just set up a second instance of MD or MDP, set different Magic Number, aggressive and the lower lotsize, that you want.

This way you will get doubled S1 trades, but if they are the more profitable ones - who cares...

Just a technical question,

 

for bbr_v11 if I want to trade EU with logic 3 do I need to input 33 or 3 is fine for logic?

you have to set it 33. This is the "force" mode, where the four predefined currency pairs can be forced to be treated with a different logic than the automatically allocated logic.

The best way is to watch the chart after starting the expert. It shows the used logic.

This is the Version from january. I bought it, forward tested for two months (Alpari UK) and asked for refund.

FIP does not give the Results they promised. Neither on demo, nor on any BT. Not even during the times, that were the shown most profitable on the website :berbusa: .

Maybe you do better with this thingy.

It was that backtesting issue here with too from time to time. Deleting logs and unused currencies in history/tester folders helps here too.
