  1. Re: EA Shark 5.0 Ultimate

EA Shark runs on H1 or M30? I though it was H1 but your pictures all say M30 in the top left.

Thanks for sharing these results, it is a great contribution to this thread.

The EA Shark manual says M30.

Thanks for the compliment, but I haven't really done anything. daw-veed did all the hard work and deserves all the credit. None of this would be possible with an un-cracked EA Shark.

Here are the backtest results for MegaDroid for the same time periods. Tested on FXPro using EURUSD 1H. All defaults, except:

    +3 GMT

0.2 lots fixed (to provide an accurate comparison to Shark since money management is not available on the cracked version of Shark).

Shark provides a bumpier ride, but using fixed lots, its more profitable than MegaDroid just based on these 4 backtests alone.

Here are four backtests using FXPro. EURUSD 30M and all defaults used except for 0.2 lots (to show daw-veed's flexible lot crack works!).

  4. Re: EA Shark 5.0 Ultimate

    Hi

Help please. When I do a backtest I get the following messg in the Journal "No license for this account" All the dll files from the first post are in the libraries folder. Thanks

You just need to replace the original ex4 file (delete from experts file) with daw-veed's cracked mq4 (add to experts file).

  5. Re: EA Shark 5.0 Ultimate

indeed you need the EA_SHARK5.0_ULTIMATE_Proxy.dll, because MoneyManagement is not the only function imported from the dll.

you can find it in the first post.

No, I just meant that he could use the original one; it seemed to me he thought you re-did the proxy dll file too.

By the way, the flexible lot mq4 Shark works great (backtested it). I've seen others attempt to crack the recent edition Sharks, but you are the first one that I know of that did it successfully.

Be sure to login and check the 3 live accounts they have running on FXOpen. Not a pretty sight, I can say.

  7. Re: EA Shark 5.0 Ultimate

Thanks for doing this, great work! :D

Hate to ask you this, but is there a way that you could fix the proxy dll so that the "fix lot" parameter will work. So, even if money management does not work, we can change to whatever lots we want to trade, like 0.2 or 0.5, etc.?

    Thanks. :peace:

ok Champion... now you can change the the Lot parameter in the inputs 0.1, 0.2 anything..

    enjoy

THANK YOU, Daw-veed!!!! Much appreciated....

  8. Re: EA Shark 5.0 Ultimate

i think the MoneyManagement function from the EA_SHARK5.0_ULTIMATE_Proxy.dll has a bug, so i fix it, then the lots will be always 0.1

Thanks for doing this, great work! :D

  9. Re: Looking for Winalot and EAzeGor

X Factor and Y Factor appear to be 2 variable inputs created by the EA author. The numbers used for X Factor and Y Factor determine how the EA will trade. For instance, the defaults are 4 and 6, respectively. Run a backtest from the start of this year to the current date - using the defaults. You will get a certain level of profit (I believe it was about $32k on a $10k deposit). Now, run the backtest using the numbers 5 and 8 for X and Y Factors. You will see a different level of profit. Now, run a backtest using 37 and 3; or 1 and 17. As you will see, there will be different results.

do you have any idea of what maximum are those factor???? you mention 37, for instance? What would the max be?

    thanks

I don't know what the max would be. I just used 50 since it seemed like a reasonable number given that the defaults are low numbers like 4 and 6. With higher numbers (double digits), I noticed that the results were poor.

  10. Re: Forex Meg@droid

This EA, like most others, will probably not work on an ECN-based MT4 platform. As you know, ECN MT4's use "market execution" instead of "instant execution". Those EAs which use market execution need to be re-coded to allow for instant execution.

The differences between an ECN MT4 and a "regular" MT4 are explained by MB Trading:

There are some adjustments that need to be made to Metatrader Query Language scripts (Expert Advisors) due to differences between Generic Metatrader 4 and MBT Metatrader 4. These include, but are not limited to:

    1. Scripts that use Instant Executions to place market orders with take profit and/or stop losses attached will not work. Instead, a market execution must be placed and then a take profit and/or stop loss added to the position.

  11. Re: Looking for Winalot and EAzeGor

does anybody know what are x.factor and y.factor in eazegor?

It looks these 2 factors are to be updated every 2 weeks or so.

    any info

    thanks in advance

I'll try to answer this question. Mind you, I do not have a paid subscription to EAzeGor, but I played around with the one that was available for download on this thread. I believe I have a good idea of how X Factor and Y Factor are used here.

Thus, what the author likely intended was to run the Optimizer function on Strategy Tester every so often to determine what is the current best X and Y Factors. For example, say on March 1, I run the Optimizer using X and Y Factors as the only variables to be optimized. My optimization start date is Jan. 1 and end date is Feb. 28. I will get certain results (under the Optimization Results tab) and will have to chose what I want to use for X and Y Factors. Do I want the low drawdown, but low profit? Or high drawdown, but the maximum profit possible? Or somewhere in between? The answer differs for every trader. For this example, say I want the highest profit, regardless of drawdown. Since I've decided this, I then input the numbers that the Optimizer found to correspond with the highest profit and highest drawdown and use it for the next couple of weeks. Say the X and Y numbers were 5 and 9. Now, after a couple of weeks, I decide to re-optimize. Since I've determined that going back 2 months is the appropriate length of time to use, I now re-optimize from Jan 15 to March 15. I see what the "best" X and Y Factor numbers were during that period (given the high profit/high drawdown levels I've decided to use). This time, say, the X and Y numbers that brought the highest level of profit was 2 and 10. I then plug these numbers in for X and Y Factors and run my EA with these numbers for the next 2 weeks (or whatever length of time I deem appropriate).

Hopefully, I've come across somewhat clearly. Obviously, to do this, you need to be familiar with the Optimization feature of MT4.

Essentially, what this amounts to is, for lack of a better description, "manual artificial intelligence". If this was true artificial intelligence, the optimal X and Y Factors would be determined with no human intervention - the EA would automatically optimize itself and "learn" from the markets recent movements.
