I watch some forums and so far it looks like that only Birt's account took 3 SLs. Most of the people had 0, 1 or 2 SLs. Neither one is the end of the world.

Some people say that Kangaroo blew the accounts. Even Birt's 3 SLs did not halve his account. It is in -14% DD, which is no way a blown. A blow is a margin call, and there were another EAs which did blew the accounts of their owner in these days, for example the EuroSmarter.

SWVPS is cheap and ok. i only use them for my demos though.

And which VPS do you use for live accounts?

I have Forex Growth Bot ( paid for it ) and will be asking for my money back. 7 losses in a row both live and demo, which is also backed up by http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/metatrader_expert_advisor/forex_growth_bot/real

 

In reg to EA i beleive they are all BS!

Growthbot can be bad or can be good, but 7 losses in row means nothing.

I knew it is MT4 mail, regularly checked it but no such letter so far.

Megadroid has not traded for weeks on my FXPro account, while it had multiple trades on Alpari UK. Yesterday I removed MD from the FXPro account. There were no error messages in the expert's log though. I am not sure what is the situation in my case, but I don't like this move from FXPro. Forex Morning Trade still trades on the FXPro account. As it only opens and closes trades in the morning, it is not affected.

Both EAs are purchased, legal ones, but I don't think it matters in this case.

And You should know,

ALL Brokers know what kinds of EA you are using unless you hide magic number and order comment.

I always change the magic numbers of my EAs -and I did not receive such email from FXPro.

I agree that this is a good system. A friend of mine was a complete noob in Forex, and this was the very first system she started demoing (I gave it to her). She lost in the first few weeks, but it was only the start of her learning curve, so she made lots of errors and we started a new demo account. In the next 8 weeks she made +25%. This year she traded only a few days so far and made +8%. She trades only 5 pairs with about 3% risk on every trade, and only a few hours in the European morning. An experienced trader with more hours traded and more pairs watched can make a lot more.

This EA was designed for the Asian session. Do you run it during daylight?

Your comment is correct however this EA has an average strike rate of around 90% if traded correctly long term without the aggressive strategy and the results i posted only reflect 2 weeks of trading activity. If there is a better and more consistently profitable scalping EA out there i would like to see it !

I have been using Megadroid (not the Pro) for 1.5 years with good results (about +150% with aggressive=off, 0.3-0.4 risk, the broker is FxOpen). I am not sure about the Pro version though. I think you have been using it for months, what were your results?

Risk, Reward ratio of around 8:1 whereas Megadroid Pro is around 4:1. (Excellent for a scalper robot which can average a winning consistency of around 80%)

It is not so excellent, as with 4:1 R:R ratio and 80% winning rate you will only break even on the long term.

Did you do the test with you move the stop loss to break even at 24 pips in profit?

 

With which broker did you do the test? Try a comparison with other brokers as well! Maybe that's why I have better results than the author? How about a test with ODL?

 

By the way do you have ANY strategy which gives you positive results for any back or forward testing? That would make me really curious.

3. I am not sure what do you want to know but I use Megadroid (a purchased one) live for 15 months and it doubled my account.

I run some backtests with the FMT EA.

2004: blew the account.

2005: halved the account then won it back to breakeven.

2006: blew the account.

2007: won +60%

2008: won +80%

2009: won +140%

2010: won +130%

My opinion is that since 2007 the market has been favourable for this system. Nobody knows when will be unfavourable again. Unfortunately, when we will know it, probably it will be too late.

Or: maybe it is otimized for the last 3 years, and it can be optimized again.

Yep, and most of the questions here are answered there, including the ones about the why-is-it-not-an-EA and the missing results. Everybody can decide if he accepts it or not. And everybody can ask questions from Donna in that forum, even if he did not buy the system yet.

I have been following Donna since she opened his website and I receive her weekly newsletter regularly. I consider her as a honest person, who runs her website to make some money. She runs forward demo and live tests of robots and signal providers. Unfortunately, none of them proved to be a long time winner. She admits this fact, and does not try to hide the bad results.

I do believe that she makes money with Method 311. This does not mean that anybody could do it. So I also ask for this method to be shared, and if I will be able to make money with it consistently, I will buy it. But not now. It is an expensive system, and works only on one pair.

well, the standard KAIN TP/SL ratio is 6:50, that sums up to around 1:6,3 ... in theory you can afford one stop loss every 6,3 winners.

IMHO it is 1:8.3

It is normal and it means that the EA currently does not trade because of the news.

Yes, it is the v1.01n1ee. I would use 1.21 for eur/usd if it had adjustable hours. I agree, it is very interesting to watch the non-news version take hits while the N1 avoids it. I put together the 24hr demos to see how the EA performs during each hour. BTW - The creator of this myfxbook is brilliant!

thanks for sharing your demo account, I will keep it watching. It is interesting to see that the best performer is the N1 robot in agressive mode. I suppose 24H means that you run the EA whole day, and not just in the Asian session, isnt it?

v1.01n1ee is not the Pro version?

DominoFx, may i know from your live trading how accurate has been Megadoid been doing for u, has your account grwon by leaps & bounds, how often does it have a trade per week?

I am running a legal (purchased) instance of Megadroid on a live account with 0.4 fixed lot size for every $1000. Agressive=off. It doubled my money in the last year. It trades very rarely, sometimes there are 2 weeks between two trades. It had only 1 loss in February, it was huge (because of my large risk), but won it back within a few weeks.

Check out the risk settings ! As I have stated many times, my risk settings of 40 might not be friendly to everybody's account :)

Currently I run the EA Kain with 10% risk. I run Megadroid with 40% risk, but MD trades only with 1 pair (EURUSD) while I use Kain to trade with 3.
