Before London session I always check ADX(21) on H1, if the ADX is lower than 20, i consider that a non-trending market and I skip the session. If the ADX is greater than 20, then I check the M15 chart to see the direction of SMA 50 (up or down).

Hi all, I was wondering which software/platform allows scanning through all currency pairs, according to certain conditions. For example, if you don’t have time to monitor the market closely, you simply introduce some conditions (for example price > EMA50 + Stochastic < 20 …etc), and you'll get a list with all curency pairs which fulfill the conditions. Thanks!

You can’t estimate an accurate interval; it depends on your trading skills, your judgment, psychology.. it’s all about market experience. Some of us reach this point in 3-5 years, others in 10 years…and so on..

Personally, I’ve never heard of a person that got rich using an EA, but I know plenty of people that succeeded in Forex through manual trading. I’ve tested some EA’s just for curiosity, but I for now…I will “go” with my own skills.

Anyone has the potential to trade forex for a living but not everyone will do what it takes to succeed. My advice is to get a stabile job, and continue trading, especially if you are new to the market. It takes years to understand the concepts and to develop a good trading system.

A big disadvantage of P&F charts is that they can’t be used with indicators, they don’t have a time scale and they don’t record gaps, plus the volume is not taken into consideration. Useful just for “old timers” :)

I’ve tested Megadroid for a period and I received mixed results, but this robot is clearly better than the rest of robots I’ve tested. However, I m not fully convinced to trade live with it.

When I trade on bigger timeframes like H4, trade signals are fewer; it could take days to get into a trade. When I trade during London session, 1-2 H is enough to get a signal.

One of the most useful indicators in my opinion is ADX. As we all know, the best profits come from trading the strongest trends and avoiding range conditions. ADX not only identifies trending conditions, it helps the trader find the strongest trends to trade.

Each has advantages and disadvantages, depending on trader’s personal trading style, execution speed and maybe risk tolerance. Which is better in your opinion?
