Hi, Thought I would share this useful and completely FREE tool here: Install Ramp9 from http://www.nebadawn.com and its included for free (fxcm downloader tool). Instructions and more info here..... http://www.nebadawn.com/help-files-for-Ramp9/FXCM-FXDD1.html Its a free little data downloader that works really well. It downloads its data from FXCM (just get yourself a DEMO account). Tried to just upload the files on there own without the software but it wouldn't run. If you figure that out then you can upload here on this thread.... Successfully imported data into Elwave etc and works really well. Much nicer than using Metatrader and having to leave it open all the time. However the only software I couldn't get it to import into was Dynamic Trader. If anybody can figure that out please advise with pictures etc and whether the ascii format needs changing in the FXCM app settings , maybe needs config to prn format ?? BR M

Hi, So I have a few ideas I would like to code. However I am completely new to coding. So I am thinking to take a python course in data science. I have been told python is one of the best first and easist languages to learn. However I would be thinking to use the indicators in wave59, whentotrade and or market analyst (I love Dynamic Trader 7 but doesnt allow custom indicators) and or maybe Amibroker ?. But as far as im aware these are not written in python. I like the thought of using the above as they have other tools of use (fibo,astro,gann etc). If I learn in python can I convert the code to another language easily ? In other words is the principle of coding more important than the syntax ? Any recommendations / advice / tips to good courses etc for a complete newbie. I'm only interested in coding for creating indicators / tools for use on analyzing charts. Thanks BR M

Hi, I want to export data from Metatrader to a metastock format directly. How can I do that ? I have heard about meta server but cannot figure out how to use it ? So just to confirm all I want to do is export meta data straight to a metastock file format. (I want live forex data in Dynamic Trader 7 ) But reading from a metastock file (not prn). Any one can help would be grateful. BR M
