I use only MNQ for now. Do you happen to know if the 30 sec settings shared in the ATS are the same as the ones shared here? I saw the winrate to be over 90%, shared by the CEO in discord.

nanop Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Which template majority of people are using/testing?
MaxNguni Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago 90% win rate doesn't matter because the scalp has much bigger loss than win size in ticks. So there will be large losses, which is fine. You either have lower win rate with higher reward or the other way round. What matters from a prop perspective is MAE... The amount a trade goes against you if it eventually wins. Aka the trailing drawdown. Market replay across 100 trades shows a positive profit factor but only a small one. MAE is 450 bucks on 1 MNQ so taking a couple of those in a row does damage on 3 contracts, for example.

That said, the chance of loosing 2 trades in a row is only 1% and 3 trades is 0.1% with a 90% win rate. Especially with the prop firm game, this is pretty good approach. You’d match your con size to account size and play the probabilities. Whether this strategy works long terms and in different market conditions / cycles remains to be seen. The very tight trailing stop also pretty much eliminates issues with intraday prop accounts, so opens up some cheap account options for folks. Oana SSS and MaxNguni 2

Here they are: A little tinkering has produced a new, much more profitable version of the raptor: Meet "Velociraptor". 1. I run this with a strict profit target of $50 per MNQ. Running it uncapped has proven a bit of a gamble, and it not my style., 2. If there are 0945 news, I start it at 0950. If there are 0945 and 1000 news, I start at 1005. If there are only 1000 news, I'll run 0930-0955,1005-1200, as if often takes profitable trades in the first minutes after open., 3. This version does NOT use martingale. However, I'm on the fence, and I think letting it Martingale once will improve it overall. We're testing both versions., This has been forward tested for about 4 weeks at this stage and seems to work well. However, it's still highly experimental. Use at your own risk.
