brightcove video downloader

does anybody know a good online or offline downloader for brightcove videos. I know you can do it by putting the url together and then download. But i need a faster & easier way. TIA

one thing you can try.. in firefox there is a very famous extension "https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/".. it catches url for all the videos playing in browser including streaming videos.. i use this all the time.. but just for being on safer side don't access any imp mail/account from firefox after installing this (or you can disable the extension)..

you can use VLC to open network file and save to local disk, just need to figure out the streaming address. I used VLC to download brightcove video recently, it works

Yes, I downloaded it with the Firefox application: video-downloadhelper (see post #2); you can try downloading the video by choosing download as a Browser and then try downloading it by choosing: Supplemental Application (see image #1); usually video-downloadhelper saves downloaded videos in the default in this path: C:\Users\xxxxx\dwhelper (the xxxxx is the name of your PC), see image 2.
