Backtest software

I am looking in vain for a backtest software. MT5 is not optimal in my opinion.

Can someone recommend something?

where do you get the historical data from ?

I know an awesome backtesting tool, but it is for Ninjatrader 8 and it logs every trade you take and sums them up and every trade is visible on the chart, if you want more info i can send it to you by PM.

I've searched a lot and found it. ProRealTime - very good program. Ideal for backtasting.

Why it is not good in your view? It's written in C language, pretty fast and optimized, you just need to find quality historical feed.

If your strategies are based on MT4 ecosystem, try Soft4FX. I use it daily from some time now - never had any glitch.

If you're more TradingView oriented, try cdzv.com . I think it's better than FxReplay because it allows the use of custom indicators.
