I can't imagine what you'd like to achieve by applying HP. Seems to me it's a comeback to the past...

Beware. The filter causes misleading predictions when used dynamically since the algorithm changes (during iteration for minimization) the past state (unlike a moving average) of the time series to adjust for the current state.

Hodrick Prescott indicator looks perfect on a historical chart. It is not appropriate for use in a trading strategy because new data bars cause the trend line to change the trend through past data. Apparently, Hodrick Prescott window indicator can work on real time trading. Does any one have Hodrick Prescott window for NT ?
