Hello Friends,

I'm not sure where I'm doing this wrong. But I want to see my charts in this format:

However, when I add the "GOMI Metro Updated Indicator Package", I get something like this:

Can anybody please help?

How do I get the footprint chart?

Are both of those charts yours, or is the first one someone else's?

You have it set to "Binary" which means if you don't have the data already recorded it wont' show up. You can download the data here: https://www.bigmiketrading.com/elite-circle/7279-official-gomrecorder-qcollector-tick-data-sharing-thread.html

You can also use updown tick, set Binary to NinjaTickFile

@JDizzle22 thanks for reply, yes the 1st chart belongs to a member (ruten) on this forum.

After fingering around a bit, I got something like this:

it seems like I'd need a microscope to read the chart. Let me try by setting Binary to NinjaTickFile. will post the result.

thanks

Thanks @JDizzle22 for the template. it now shows like this (not connected to rt data feed):

However, if I zoom in to 2 min time frame on a different instrument, it shows up like this (somewhat readable):

Thanks

That looks correct on the 2 min. You will have to play with the zoom to get it to how you like (especially on a large time frame you can only get a couple bars on the chart). You can also change the font I think in the settings to make the numbers a bit smaller. In that template just realize that I set it to use NinjaTickFile. So if you switch to binary, make sure you set write data to true. When you do all that you will probably have nothing show up until the market opens next week (unless you download some data from someone else, or run replay data to collect some).

May be that financial instrument have a biggest volatility. In this case you need a biggest monitor ).

But I see that it not have liquidity, and i think that you need try to trade something another.

Hi Sheetal,

Maybe you can check the trading hours. Try also changing to others like range bars to see if it is any different.

Just my 2 cents.

Hello all,

Thanks to each one of you for your time. After a while of brain scratching, I'm guessing maybe the problem might be somewhere else:

Above is the config of my current computer.

I'm not sure, but do You guys think that the issue that I'm facing might be because of this?

Thanks

Hi all!

Hey sheetal, you trading the financial instrument unknown for me. But you can try this VolumeLadderMetroEditionV2-1: https://www.sendspace.com/file/jcvdnz

Then try this chart template "GOM Ladder Black": https://www.sendspace.com/file/c8t36y

You should get something like this

Sorry Ruten, i'm trying the GOM but it only show live data. Usually with other footprint indicators i can change calculation mode from BidAsk to UptickDowntick (i know it's an approximation) to allow load historical data. Is this possible with GOM or it is designed to work only with live BidAsk data?

Thank you

:( cann't upgrade my comp soon due to constraints. need to wait for atleast a month or two.

maybe, I've gone wrong here:

"prerequisite: Install latest or GomBase and Delta Package 2.6 before above step, if you are using first time Gom based indicator. For More detail on GomBase and Delta Package follow the post"

will test this out soon and keep posted

GOMi works with live data only. But there's a recorder feature inbuilt in it which records the live data for future viewing. No option for backfilling.
