westvleteren Posted March 1, 2013 Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 Anyone know a free source for historical tick data for futures that can be used in Ninja? Everyone developing a strategy needs good replay tick data for realistic testing purposes. I am aware of Ninja's possibility to download, on a one-by-one daily basis, replay data but I am looking for months (or years) of data in order to do more properly backtesting. There are commercial offerings but they are pretty expensive. With my DTN connection I can get 120 days of tick data (612 Mb text file) but then I am stuck as I can not find any tool to edit this file into Ninja required format in the way Excel could do it (e.g. column manipulation).
