ALongShort
What .exe are you pointing time stopper to? I get an error when I point it to multicharts.exe Edit: Nevermind, got it work. http://s13.postimage.org/49omc17av/Snap_2012_06_17_at_22_26_00.png Edited June 18, 2012 by ALongShort
ALongShort
I also tried changing the date on my machine to 7/18/12 to see if it would end the trial, and nothing seemed to change. I can't believe this works, but I won't get my hopes up till after 30 real days have passed. Edit 1: The above was tested on the 32 bit version. Edit 2: I uninstalled the 32bit version, installed the 64 bit version, set time stopper to make the date 1/1/1990, started the program and it said 0 DAYS LEFT but still shows a green activated icon in the bottom right.... Edit 3: Figured out why it was showing 0 days left, because my clock in windows was still set to 7/18/12 which would have caused the trial to end. Good news is, the program still ran and functioned fine from what I could tell. I could connect to my broker and get data without any problems.... dukati
Thanks ALongShort for the good news. The strange thing is that in the immage that you posted above we can read 4115 days left but down we can also read that the trial will expire on 7/17/2012 I hope that the 4115 days left will be the only thing that will cont. Is there somebody that already past the 30 days limit using time stopper? Can him/her tell us wath appened? munchun you wrote that time stopper work with multicharts but did you paste the 30 days exipartion piriod? Thanks in advace to everybody will participate and help. mspkash1
the only problem i see is if you use timestopper and change the date to say 1/1/2012, then each time you open a chart in a workspace, it will pull data only till 1/1/2012. you'll need to change it manually to today's date so that you get all the data.. i have so many charts in so many workspaces and its a pain in the a** to change it.. i'm trying to see if there is some other way of doing this..if anyone knows chime in sherlock1713006318
dukati
mspkash1 thanks for your answer, but without the timestopper your demo would be expired? I mean do you confirm that you passed the 30 days and your multicharts is still working in real time with time stopper? Thanks for your time. sherlock1713006318
Few questions before I try my luck with timestopper too: Does Multicharts demoversion have a free forexfeed included? Or should I use the MCFX version instead if I am mainly interested in FX? Thanks in advance!! Edited June 20, 2012 by sherlock

chrissilein2003
no... the software checks back with the server, i assume... i did that as well... it seemed to work fine... but after it really expired, it did not work anymore... thats all i can say - end of story - sad but true... I guess the software engineers are not as ****** as we deem them to be... if you dont believe me, find out yourself... :-(
