Martingale is dangerous if implemented recklessly. I don't know the first thing about this particular EA, but in one of the EA's we run, there is a martingale component. It doesn't just martingale into infinity. It intelligently picks levels to double positions and it had a hard stop. If it gets hit, it gets hit. We make about 40% a year on that particular EA (not this wolfe wave one). 40% is a phenomenal return in my books as I'm not interested in the risk that's associated with 200% returns.

 

Again, I know nothing about this EA. All I'm saying is the notion that Martingale is dangerous comes from poor implementations of it.
