Does the scalping ie system1 trade 24 hrs or just asian session

I checked the code and there is no time restriction on the Scalping Strategy. I've been testing FXCombo for about two weeks and Scalping seems to be the most active of the four strategies opening trades during all sessions. So, yes, it trades 24 hours a day.

I think that is just a safety net SL. The system modifies SL over the course of the trade.

The breakout strategy #2 has been the *worst* performer. All its trades save one have been losers because FXCombo did not adjust SL in a timely fashion for whatever reason. All other strategies have had good results. Scalping has lost money on only two trades. The Reversal strategy #3 and the EuroRange strategy #4 trades have all been winners. Except for setting ECN to False and NFA to True and using MoneyManagement to set lot sizes, I am using default settings. I am only running FXCombo on a demo system.

Secondly if you go to the website u can see the trades executed by them They also had the same loss

Also on the website u can see their results on EUR/USD for each strategy seperately for 4-8yrs Kindly note that Strategy 1 is not among the best performers per year

I have to comply with NFA regulations. A Breakout trade was already open and that prevented the Scalper from opening the trade you mention. Coincidentally, that was the one profitable Breakout trade I had.

 

I am sorry you had a 110 pip loss. I can only tell you that I have seen the Scalper adjust the SL of its trades repeatedly such that all but two of them closed in profit in my testing.

In the ol' back-testin' there's clearly displayed times when it's goin' into loss and even below the initial balance and then the profit curve goes way up and then it goes down again and then up again. It's been stated before that it being a long term strategy and such.

system 2 opened a trade which went upto 6o Pips in Profit but the Ea closed at a loss of 35 Pips

I think the settings of the Trailing stop need to be modified

The only unfortunate thing bein' about this system is that it be requiring patience. I reckon it sorta needs to be forgotten about and such and then coming back to it once every while to check. It aint no use tryin' to analyse it and such maybe the TP bein' taken down on one or two of the strategies. It's been proven that it be workin' in the long term. Edited February 2, 2012 by callahan

With vesion 3.1 on GBPUSD I get an error divide by zero in the experts tab

but EURUSD seems to ok Though the expert is trading Dont know what this error is

I seem to recall getting that when I first started testing. It hasn't occurred since so I figured it was running some calculations before all the data had been downloaded from the server. It uses data from timeframes other than chart it's running on, donchaknow.

Does anyone have the FCS400.dll that actually COMES WITH the v4 EA (You cant simply rename the FCS300.dll because then you have most of the strategy from v3 - not the new v4 implementation)

 

I would guess the new FCS400.dll would be a different size than FCS300.dll but in any case, if you post a candidate here ill peep inside to see if it looks like a new version

worked for me did you change the "0" to "o"

download works now for me. thank you It is the right file nice :) file is smaller than edu v3 dll. This DLL calls back to the server to authenticate.

I have seen file names out there called: ForexComboSystem_v5.1 (4in1) EURUSD_NF.ex4 and ForexComboSystem_v5.1 (4in1) GBPUSD_NF.ex4

 

I assume that the NF stands for News Filter.
