Tradestation read intraday metastock data.

Hi all,

 

I just had tradestation 8.7 and Owndata 2.7 working with tick metastock data and want to share this because it took me long to come to this end.

 

1. install three sortwares: tradstation, owndata and OnDemand Server (all available here)

2. start Owndata and config the data source as metastock, change the session to your trading time and insert symbol.

3. start tradestation and Ondemand server will start. This makes tradestation work online so it reads tick metastock history data.

 

Edit: Actually, you dont need Ondemand server for tradestation to load realtime metastock data. Now, I could load metastock realtime data from a folder to tradestation.

 

There remains one small problem is I have to refresh tradestion for the next tick to show up. hope some could go further to the end by automatic loading
