Why would you want to do that?

 

As soon as the trades are entered you're in a running net loss of spreads or spreads/commissions.

 

Ok - the trades are hedged, however what do you plan to do? check the trades which have been entered once a day or something and take a loss on the losing one and hope that the winner continues winning, or take the winner and hope that the loser "comes back" ? That's pure gambling - you may as well toss a coin lol.

 

What's the basis for entering the trades - at a specific time each day? If the basis is some form of signal/indicator or whatever then that signal will have a long or short bias, so why take both trades when you know that one will have a potential edge to be a winner and the other will have a potential edge to be a loser.

yes, pipstrider can do that, use mode 0 to trade both directions. Once either the buy or sell wins, the losing trade will continue position with double the lot size trade until small profit is made with disruption technology activated and close all trades.

 

However, be careful with this ea as it is martingale with disruption technology. One really have to control with the money management, keep the traded lot size 0.01 only to one pair (AUDCAD) and with min. 6K, otherwise account will be blown in no time. It does make some money as long as the equity is big enough to substain DD.
