Have tried contacting them, but no use.. Steer well clear!

soundfx Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) desitrader, It looks as though you can get the EA (called FPD Project 1) as a free trail from here: http://www.ftse100club.info/f100c-theforexpolice-step1.html There are restrictions in using this though ;) It seems as though you have to have an account with IBFX for this to work and maintain their own security (so they say). Plus they charge you a licence fee per month for using the EA unless you fork out £750 for a lifetime licence. I suspect that it will be pretty resilient to education. sidecona Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 i eventually got it... but it's rubbish... baaaaad coding... need to pull it apart and make it more safe.. (this often destroys the meagre profit an ea shows, as the coding is hiding faults and changing the logic, which is not by design, and the developer is failing to comprehend)... will deposit a safer version here in a few days if it turns out to be worth the most likely wasted effort.. or the original if i cant be arsed.. will def be getting a refund! watch this space.. soundfx and ⭐ MerlinBrasil 2

Btw, I have a few solid ideas worth pursuing to develop an EA (primarily for backtesting purposes). Is there a forum somewhere, where there are developers and traders/system concept developers and they come together to co-develop and backtest ideas for viability? Maybe I can start a thread over here? but I would like to do it properly and have categories for concepts reviewed / and assessment whether discarded or not... Any thoughts folks?

(I'm fast losing my faith in backtesting... the more I backtest, the more I don't trust backtests anymore...) have put comments into my changed one for anyone that cares to take a look... haven't figured out the logic 100%, and haven't started tinkering yet..
