If you use Windows 7 and Ninja 6.5 then you should be aware of the following announcement released by Ninja on Feb 9, 2011.

"We anticipate that Microsoft will be releasing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 into production later this month. NinjaTrader Version 7.0.1000.3 Beta or greater is required to be compatible with this Windows update. All prior versions of NinjaTrader including 7.0.1000.2 or earlier and NinjaTrader 6.5 will be incompatible with this Windows update."

So, Ninja 6.5 will not work under Windows 7 SP1. Be advised !

SP1 on Win 7 ?

thx AEX. I don't run win 7 but thought that a heads up on this was justified....

was it Win 7 you installed on?

If so, maybe they (Ninja) are referring to 6.5 Build 19. Anyway, others may post to confirm your experience or let us know about Build 19.

Thanks.

I just had this problem. Installed Win 7 SP1 and NT is not working anymore. Then I found this thread... unfortunately a bit too late.

For me this procedure worked: De-install the service pack, then I had to re-install the IIS features. Now everything is fine again!

Ninja trader uses the DOT NET V2 AND WHEN YOU UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 7 IT UPGRADES TO DOT NET 4.0 AS AN DEFAULT..... SO YOU WILL HAVE TO MANUALLY ADD THE DOTNET V2 TO MAKE IT WORKING. I AM NOT NEAR MY COMPUTER BUT WILL BE ABLE TO SEND YOU GUYS A FEW SETUP FILES ONCE OVER THE WEEKEND.
