lifebeam
hi ALL, I'v been backtesting this EA, Annajah_Forex_Pilot_V1.mq4, and it produces some very impressive results..... Testing it on eurusd 15 TF, it does not detect 5 digit broker so you have to add a extra zero to the take profit and trailing stop if you are on a five digit broker............ The results are very accurate BUT its downfall is, there does not seem to be any fixed stop lose coded into it.... therefore eventually the market moves against it..... here is the link to the back test http://www.4shared.com/file/_CcqMPrs/test.html here is the link to the EA itself http://www*4shared*com/file/qcGG461M/Annajah_Forex_Pilot_V1.html what are people thoughts on this EA? Is there anyone who can code a stop lose into it? thanks :) Edited January 23, 2011 by lifebeam
chrisbenjy
The backtest modelling quality isn't good. The massive loss at the end, is that because it was the end of the backtest so all open trades were liquidated? Lol that loss is quite funny. Opens a trade in 2006 and it blows the account over a year later. Anyway, here is version with SL. If you have fractional pip broker then times the SL by 10 like all the other variables. If you don't want to use a SL then set it to 0. hxxp://www.4shared.com/file/1xYxHBdX/Annajah_Forex_Pilot_V1_SL.html Edited January 23, 2011 by chrisbenjy lifebeam
lifebeam
NO I dont think it was liquidating all positions but actually moved the open position with no stop lose, I did check it a few times in visual mode... I simply stop lose should prevent this blow out, but we'll see 220 2006.03.27 01:00 close 110 1.00 1.20296 0.00000 1.20260 161.10 16078.50 221 2006.04.17 02:30 sell 111 1.00 1.21680 0.00000 1.21480 222 2007.04.25 16:12 close at stop 111 1.00 1.36632 0.00000 1.21480 -16033.70 44.80 a lose of 1515pips...... thank very much for the stop lose....... I'll see if it makes any difference

lifebeam
first I tried 60, then 150, and finally I tried 30....... kept the take profit @ 20pips trading 1lot starting balance £5000 but still might try it on different time frames, like 4hr, and maybe test a few different pairs
