Freddie
Hi guys, I am interested to find reverse martingale EA that add with profit not with loss. I wish you share what you know about this subject. Thanks Glad you explained that, I was wondering. Seems rather perverse to me. 'Win and get out' is a good option but go again and increase the risk? I shall look forward to other replies.
conglo
I pursued this for quite some time and worked with a programmer to develop a number of EAs to test the idea. Sounds good but does not work in practice. Price does not trend for an extended enough period to make up for losses, even with progressive compounding. "The trend is your friend" is only true if markets trend more than not, which they don't. I have found that countertrend strategies are far superior in the short term to trend following systems, until of course you hit the eventual trend, which will wipe you out. In this case the trend is not your friend. It's all relative. Hi guys, I am interested to find reverse martingale EA that add with profit not with loss. mcgene4x
Great thanks for all replies and your opinion share guys. Really helpful. Now, i am examining both fluid ea and snowball. I know reverse martingale sounds nice but market range/consolidate most of the time and even the massive trending market is rare. However, i would like to test this theory of anti martingale closely. Still looking for any other input from experienced traders here. . Any other reverse martingale out there except snowball and fluid EAs? conglo
You might also consider a reverse D'Alembert. Instead of doubling the previous bet you simply add 1 unit after a win. There is also this modified Martingale: 1, 1, 2, 4, 8, etc. This ensures that after a loss you have broken even instead of losing 1 unit. Always love this stuff.. if you find anything useful please post your comments. Great thanks for all replies and your opinion share guys. Really helpful. bargainbo
conglo, I am desperately searching for a counter-trend strategy to short-term day trade it manually. Do you have any #1 recommendations?
conglo
The one strategy I have had the most consistent good results with is on this forum: http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/9744-The-30-pips-a-day-strategy It is in most respects a counter-trend method. Due to personal circumstances I have not been able to play Forex for the last month so I cannot provide coherent results. K.R.A.P.P. also looks good but I have not spent as much time with it. You may want to try combining the two as they complement each other. conglo, I am desperately searching for a counter-trend strategy to short-term day trade it manually.
