lanlan
Canadian Dollar Extends Weakness Against Majors During New York morning trading on Monday, the Canadian dollar extended its previous session's downward trading. The loonie slipped to a 13-day low against the euro, new multi-week lows against the yen and the greenback. On the economic side, the Statistics Canada reported that Canadian wholesale sales increased for a fifth consecutive month in September. Official data showed that wholesale sales rose 0.3 percent to C$48.7 billion, with volumes down 0.5 percent. Economists were looking for a 0.4 percent gain, following the revised 0.4 percent monthly increase in August. The loonie declined further in today's morning session and currently trading near fresh multi-week lows of 1.0421 against the US dollar and 73.89 versus the Japanese yen, compared to last week's closing value of 1.0274 and 74.92, respectively. Economic news from the U.S. showed that Existing home sales showed an unexpected increase in the month of October, according to a report released by the National Association of Realtors. NAR said existing home sales rose 1.4 percent to an annual rate of 4.97 million in October from a downwardly revised 4.90 million in September. Economists had expected existing home sales to drop to 4.80 million from the 4.91 million originally reported for the previous month. Against the euro, the Canadian currency also traded further lower in New York morning and as of now trading at near a 2-week low of 1.4032 from last Friday's close of 1.3891. lanlan
The euro gave back its overnight gains versus the dollar on Tuesday, as a downward revision to U.S. third-quarter economic growth fueled increased risk aversion. The Commerce Department's first revision of its estimate for growth in gross domestic product was lowered to 2 percent from the initial forecast of 2.5 percent expansion. U.S. GDP figures were a temporary distraction from headlines out of Europe, where Spanish borrowing costs continued to rise despite this weekend's victory for center-right candidates in national elections. The yield on 3-month Spanish T-bills rose to 5.11 percent from 2.292 percent at an auction held on October 25. The 6-month paper increased to 5.227 percent from 3.302 percent at last month's sale. Bond markets are betting that Europe will be unable to contain its sovereign debt crisis without bold measures from the reluctant European Central Bank. The euro slipped to $1.3488 versus the dollar, down a penny from its early highs. The Federal Reserve is scheduled to release the minutes of its November 1- 2 Federal Open Market Committee meeting at 2 PM ET. The euro was steady near Y104 versus the yen, and jumped to GBP 0.8660 versus the sterling, adding to yesterday's gains. U.K. public sector net borrowing declined in October as revenue growth exceeded spending, data from the Office for National Statistics showed Tuesday. Japan's Finance Minister Jun Azumi on Tuesday resisted calls for the Bank of Japan to purchase foreign debt on a large scale to contain yen rise. Reports quoted the minister as saying that it would be difficult for the government to accept the proposal of setting up a fund worth JPY 50 trillion to buy foreign-denominated bonds. marsya91
BMO: trading ahead of Supercommittee Here is another trading strategy on the approaching deadline for US Congressional deficit Supercommittee. Analysts at BMO Capital are pessimistic about the committee’s ability to come up with the budget solution. The specialists note that there are 3 possible outcomes: Democrats and Republicans will reach a deal on reducing shortfall by more than $2 trillion, by just the required amount of $1.2 trillion or they’ll fail to find a compromise and the nation will face automatic cuts. In their view, the latter variant is the most likely one. BMO advises traders to sell NZD/USD at current levels stopping above $0.7650 and targeting $0.7175. gezter
-The deviation between EUR/GBP and fair value has narrowed, implying the pair could be almost 4% overvalued (5% previously). The spike higher in 5 year Spanish CDS helped drive our fair value estimate lower, but interest rate spreads are also important. -The underperformance of bunds versus gilts and treasuries last week suggests capital flight from Germany is now starting to be seen. This hints at fresh downside pressure on EUR/GBP over coming months.

marsya91
BoJ Nishimura: Eurozone Crisis Paused Biggest Risk To Japan's Recovery The biggest risk to Japan's recovery in the long run is future developments associated with the sovereign debt problem in Europe and their effects on the global financial markets, Bank of Japan Deputy Governor Kiyohiko Nishimura said Wednesday. "Needless to say, the risk factor that should cause most concern is future developments in the sovereign debt problem in Europe and their effects on global financial markets and the global economy," the policymaker said in a speech at a meeting with business leaders in Kyoto. For the time being, Japan's economy will face an adverse effect from the slowdown in overseas economies and the appreciation of the yen, as well as from the flooding in Thailand, Nishimura said, echoing the central bank view. Pointing to the risks associated with the appreciation of the yen, he said a further sharp appreciation of the currency that diverges considerably from economic fundamentals may lead an increase in the shift of production overseas by Japanese firms beyond a critical level. He warned that in that case, Japan's manufacturing would find it hard to recover even if the yen depreciated in the future. According to Nishimura, the essence of the problem in Eurozone is the imbalances between euro members that have developed since monetary unification. "Therefore, it is necessary to fully understand that there is no immediate remedy to solve the sovereign debt problem and postponing the resolution of the problem will never bring back the pre-crisis situation," he noted. What enticed you to start trading? Well, I’ve been trading for about half a year. My friend has been trading Forex for 2-3 years, his trading is very profitable. Somewhere I found a thread about FBS, there was lots of useful information for me. After studying its trading conditions I understood that I had found a perfect broker for me. Please share your Forex trading experience with our customers. After several attempts of manual trading I decided to automate my trading to spend less time in front of my computer, because I prefer short-term intraday trading. That is why now I use Expert Advisor that meets all my demands. What kind of trader are you? I am a woman-trader (laughing). Actually, I think that a woman may be better in trading than a man. She needs just to control her emotions. In your opinion, what qualities should a trader possess to be successful in trading? First of all you should study Forex, all the theory. After that you need practice. And certainly, I can do nothing without luck. Aryadi How long have you been trading in the Forex market? What enticed you to start trading?
