mackphatt
This is a method that I have been using for about two weeks one week on a a demo account and one week on my real account I have been able to double my real account in one week and thought that I share it. My first contribution to a forum that has given so much. I call it PacSmooth bcoz of the Indi's. Here is the link Indi's and Template: http://www.forexsharing.com/264046 Here is a picture I took this morning: http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/8448/pacsmooth.jpg I was able to catch over 100 pips in less than two hours. Here is what I suggest, Open a 15min EURUSD chart place the MA adaptive rsi indi on it then open a 5 min EURUSD chart and apply the template provided. I tested this with EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURJPY. Open a buy trade if all the indicators are green Open a sell trade if all the indicators are red Now look at the picture and look at the pacman tactivator that is going to be our signal when to enter a trade when from red to green and above the 20 level that's a buy signal and reverse for a sell. Always trade in the trend. But wait what if the market is ranging than look at your 15 min chart is it red or green than wait for all indicators to turn green for a buy than red for a sell. I scalp this also and I collect a lot of pips just trade the direction of the 15 min chart it will give a high probable direction. There are many ways to trade this can't go into details about it all but it is very profitable once you study the charts and indi's. I have another method I'm testing so that there could be a EA used with it I will post depending on the response from this method. My 8yr nephew was able to get 30 pips with no assistance using this yesterday I'm not joking or kidding. PM me for any confusion or clarity. Or if this is already posted. Update Sorry about the confusion here is the other Indi for those who keep getting the error http://www.forexsharing.com/18813 Its a must so please download it for the template put in indicator folder. ttamas72
You need to be a simple "Adaptive RSI" indicator between your indicators. You can find easy on the net, google it.
altoronto
Quick question about 15min chart, what's the period number for MA adaptive rsi nrp. 12 as is on 5min or 20?
mackphatt
Quick question about 15min chart, what's the period number for MA adaptive rsi nrp. 12 as is on 5min or 20? The settings on the 15 min chart are the same as on the 5 min chart. I only use the 15 min to determine the the trend or range. You can use what ever you feel like, its only a suggestion. I mainly focus on the 5 min chart. I just got 20 pips in twenty minutes just using the 5 min chart.
mackphatt
Stops and targets vary through the day or which session and what the market is doing if its in a strong trend I let it ride but if its ranging I will enter a trade if on the pac indi the levels go above 20 for a buy and lower than 20 for a sell. And take a few pips. I will post another pic here soon. Here is a picture of Idealistic how I trade it. Red circle all indicators are in agreement. Yellow circle I exit all indicators are not in agreement. Blue circle gives a fake signal all indicators are not in agreement, and to its end of US session. http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/8674/pacsmooth2.jpg Edited September 14, 2010 by mackphatt

sequentialb
When all colors are in agreement, do you open a trade straight away or wait for the 5min candle to close to confirm the signal? Same with closing out the trade... if one indicator changes color, do you wait for the 5min candle to close first before exiting? metal1713006284
The indicator adaptive RSI just show blue colour. can it be changed thanks
mackphatt
I usually wait for the candle to close. But I also have entered a trade before the candles closes as well it depends on the trend and momentum of the pair. And closing a trade I usually wait for the candle to close. Or just take the profits and run.

mackphatt
The problem of the adaptive rsi. still don't work; I have two indi MA_Adaptive and adaptive rsi (thank you for the update) in the indicator folder (I see these), but on chart show only MA only blue; Houston we have a problem ..... Sorry Sorry No probs man no need to be sorry. Make sure you have both ind's in the experts\indicators folder. Now Restart you mt4 platform. Open a 5 min EURUSD chart and apply the template, it should not be blue anymore. If that does not work load the template and then drag the MA_Adaptive rsi nrp onto the chart and it should load up onto the chart, do not drag or load the adaptive rsi indi onto the chart. Let me know if this helps. metal1713006284

mackphatt
Hi, I noticed that the indicator "FXSmooth EURUSD.ex4" is only used for EURUSD pair? Can I use this indicator for other pairs like GBPUSD, GBPJPY....? Thanks. The FXSmooth for EURUSD works with eurjpy, eurusd and gbpusd. It may work with other pairs. If you open and study the charts you will see that they are similar. Hope that answered your question.
iwjw
I've coded a multi timeframe version of the MA_adaptive indicator It got an additional Parameter "HigherTF" If you attach the indi to a M5 chart and set HigherTF=15, the indi will show you the M15 MA_adaptive So you could trade with one chart only if your main trend would come from M15 and entry on M5 or you could use both indis on one chart by changing the colors of the MTFversion or use dotted lines instead Maybe it's useful for you http://[email protected]/file/aXnuNFw0/MA_adaptive_rsi_nrp_MTF.html cubicrey, smurf43, t2g and 5 others
iwjw
The FXSmooth indicator is slowing down my MT4 near to a standstill It's running through all bars on every tick But it's hard to find an optimisation because I've only got the decompiled version and that kind of code is difficult to read

I tested it on my laptop and it runs smooth so it depends on your system I tried to find a fix. Only thing I suggest is run it on a offline chart. I guess FXsmooth uses a lot of cpu resources. lerxst
@iwjw. Go into the options section of your MT4 platform and change the max bars in history , max bars on chart to a lower number. At first fxsmooth was locking up for me also and then realized it was too much historical bars being displayed. You need to change the settings and restart MT4, it works for me. iwjw
