steadywinner
I know very little about 99% backtesting and am still a student. But I hope this method can become more popular as pointed out by many that 90% backtesting is not good enough. Jayman007 Could you tell me where to get the app you mentioned? It will be helpful. bnbb2004
Hello! Could someone configure this so that the risk can be changed to larger than 1-3%? I tried but I kept giving a lot of errors when I compiled it. TIA!
Guest Jayman007
Hello! Could someone configure this so that the risk can be changed to larger than 1-3%? I tried but I kept giving a lot of errors when I compiled it. TIA! I have done that already and it runs fine on my account. I just don't feel right sharing it here. Perhaps you can email ming and ask him to make the changes for you. If worst comes to worst I can just post the changes I made and you can do them yourself. steadywinner
There is a reason why we limit the risk to 3% maximum. It is because SteadyWinner is a trend follower. When the market is ranging, there can be consecutive losses. We will suffer some drawdowns. In V5.0, we will allow the risk level to be changed from 0.1 - 5.0% since the trading logic of V5 is more advanced. Every users will be upgraded free. Please have some patience. bnbb2004, Stormin_Norman and taipan
Stormin_Norman
thank you ming and thank you everyone for respecting his work. we come across almost every EA and almost all of those are poorly performing rip offs. for $28 this is an EA everyone should get. it will not make you rich by next month but is a demonstration of how a solid performing 3 steps forward 2 back EA can achieve over the long term. SHARKspear
Hi Friends --------------------------------------------------------------- DECLARATION FIRST! Although I first joined Indo as an ordinary trader member, I want to tell you all I have joined SteadyWinner as a partner near end of Q1 2011. I have made such declaration in DonnaForex forum and I want to be fair and do the same in Indo Investasi because this is also a good forum. Most members here are honest. ---------------------------------------------------------------- To manojcosmo's case, normally, we strongly prefer you to buy from our official website using Plimus + PayPal or Credit Card. Order processing is automatic and you can download immediately after making payment. However, if you cannot use Plimus / PayPal for some reason, we do have other payment arrangement. Orders will be processed manually and it may take up to 12-24 hours for us to deliver the package due to time zone difference. Last month, a customer from middle east pay through MoneyBooker. Among popular payment processors, Liberty Reserve is our last choice because it is very inconvenient to move money in and out Liberty Reserve. If you have used it, you know what I mean! We still want to try to help customers making ex-Plimus purchase. Please email steadywinner @ gmail dot com for detail. But we really appreciate if you can avoid Liberty Reserve (& Perfect Money). SHARKspear
hi steady winner team, when will be v5 release? is that possible to add some extern inputs like tp,sl,tl, min lot & max lot per trade, 2 to 3 levels of breakeven profit lock? thank We discussed this in our internal meeting but opening TP, SL, TS settings will just tempt you to change them and we don't want rookies to mess with settings that can crash their account & ruin their very first experience as a trader. For more experienced traders and paying customers, you have our source code file and nobody can stop you changing the settings! SHARKspear
Have removed steady winner from live. Made some small profits wiped by 2 stops for -100. Has taken poor trades this week Sorry to hear that. Although long terms back test results were good, we can always enter at bad time and suffer draw down first. I am a trader myself and have experienced this in many EA including SteadyWinner so I understand your feeling. pro
Hey Sharkspear, i am trading manually much better than EA out there. My advice if for you to learn harmonic trading and fibs. Once you have set up a template with supports, fibs and the patterns you will pick up how the market moves. You also need to know when the market reverses such as london , NY openings. EA's cannot understand the forex market as the feeds continuously change. EA;s are designed for logic that has happened not for future results. Check out this forum will help you immensely. http://www.forex-tsd.com/harmonic-trading/ Since you have at least 20 times stated how successful this/ your manual trading approach is, its time to show us your live results on a verified myfxbook account.... ;)) TIA
Stormin_Norman
Hey Pro, i dont need to prove anything to you or anyone. Im giving everyone a tip so its up to you to check it out. Have you seriously made money from EA on live accounts. If you dont like my tip then i wont waste my time any more. Have a great day. i think youre in the wrong forum section. kappaforex 1 Quote "It is inconceivable that anyone will divulge a truly effective get-rich scheme for the price of a book." JasonKwok
Dun find this EA is good in capturing the trend. I ran this EA and MACCIMO on EU with Go Markets. It seemed that MACCIMO managed to capture more green pips within the same period. Anyone has better performance using SteadyWinner? Please share which broker you are trading with. Thanks. conglo
Just my two cents here.. I was a big fan of SteadyWinner for awhile, I purchased it from the vendor, it looked good and the price was certainly right. I ran it for a long time on an IBFX demo. It did not do badly at all, but given the recommended risk settings it did not make enough profits to justify itself either. My 401K does better. It IS a steady winner, but it does not win enough to make it worthwhile, there are too many other more profitable approaches to Forex. One must consider how much capital is dedicated to one approach/method/EA and how much return can be expected. SteadyWinner did not cut it and is no longer in my portfolio. jessica_30
I am looking for a better EA for my trading needs. I just want to ask if what version is applicable and does this version is compatible to all brokers. Or if limited, what brokers could be possibly good in this type of EA? http://imagicon.info/cat/3-4/1.gifhttp://imagicon.info/cat/3-8/1.gifhttp://imagicon.info/cat/3-5/1.gifhttp://imagicon.info/cat/3-1/1.gifhttp://imagicon.info/cat/3-6/1.gifhttp://imagicon.info/cat/3-2/1.gifhttp://imagicon.info/cat/3-3/1.gif
steadywinner
Hi jessica You can always write to [email protected] to ask any questions. Our EA works on all brokers, but we recommend www.gomarketsaus.com All our tests are done on their real accounts. Ming

Guest Jayman007
Any idea from Ming when we can expect the version 5 to be released. I see that the manual for version 5 has been distributed. I posted it here https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=1btPRlc9TrpjdlFLUMNnLk_wsmTawM3C2aaKFrgXu_xk6IyY9E7UzsANm8rLD&hl=en_US&authkey=CL3P0fMG I hope that ming still plans to allow free upgrades to those of us that have a paid previous version.
