Bad luck to the fpa test that catch a very bad period.

 

The difficulty of this strategy is to accept your account go down from the initial balance, day after day, until the day that it will catch a good move and recover from all the loss and eventual a lot more! But it seems is a working strategy for the long run!

Backtest are done on 15m, other sites refer to that too.

 

Just saw that reference as well, just check what works better.

It´s better put on daily chart. In fact it is not important, cause it work in all TF I suppose. The backtest is done on M15 cause backtest don´t work well on daily chart.

Warning:

The EA doesn't use a magicnumber...so it will "manage" all open trades for the symbol the EA is trading

If you're running other EAs on same account or trade manually it will mess up things for sure

0.1 Lot Size seems to be not supported as well (Order sent error 147). Can you help to get this corrected or adding fixed/min Lot?

OK, I've added a fixed lot size, set it to 0 if you still want to use the money management feature.

works fine on Alpari.

 

Still on FXCM I do get Order Sent Error 147 with a correct min Lot Size set. Can that be an ECN matter?

Possibly, because I do not see any ECN support inside the code. I will add ECN support for anyone interested, after I have caught up on my trading.

 

To be honest, the build quality of the EA is poor; there is no error handling or ECN, there was no Magic Number and for some reason the EA want's you to type in your account balance when its easier to set it inside the code.

I have checked the error codes. 147 means, that my (some) brokers might not accept order expirations. Not sure how to work around that.

 

Other EAs with Buy/Sell Stop Orders and expirations work without problems e.g. 4-6 GMT Breakout or Supersonic.
