sphanlon
Every version I see the uploader says it's not tested. I'm not getting any trades on any version and backtests give me an error in Russian. Can someone confirm a version we have works? Or educate one of them? A few versions were given in these posts: http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/6399-CableRun-GBPUSD-similar-EA-good-performer?highlight=cable http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/8034-Sup3rs0n1c-EA-standart-advance-indicator-bonuses-EA-need-to-educate/page3

Stormin_Norman
can anyone reproduce this backtest? http://www.forex-tests.com/Tests/4_6_breakout/eurusd.htm http://www.forex-tests.com/Tests/4_6_breakout/eurusd.gif mine looks most ugly, and nothing like the one above. expat1967
Yes, I can and have it in Forward Test since last week. No trades yet so... You might need to add a a 0 to TP, SL and Trall for 5 Digit Broker. Below tests, I have run just now with a spread of 3.4 on FXCM. I use Version 2.3 posted prior in the forum: http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/8034-Sup3rs0n1c-EA-standart-advance-indicator-bonuses-EA-need-to-educate?p=92155&viewfull=1#post92155 Per FDD as per your post. Differ due to spreads and todays end date: http://www.multiupload.com/SKZ35GH71R As per my latest settings: http://www.multiupload.com/3ZI0CQWL50 My Settings: http://www.multiupload.com/C6EGCUCG0J Cheers Stormin_Norman
expat1967
Use on GPBUSD only. All other pairs did not perform for me as well. There is an error on "Forex-Tests" while stating the pair is EURUSD. I do understand that version 3.0 shall support GPBJPY as well. acosma
Anyway actually my 4-6 gmt breakout version 2.0 is not performing well, so I decided to remove it from live account and I put it on demo again, it seems that this strategy is not goin' very well on this period, also in backtest since 15th of july its performance goes down coming back to break-even after a successfully pevious period. Thanks Acosma, I do undertand that the live performance does match the trend of the backtest then. I agree, that in the original settings the performance is currently leaking. That's why I have changed the settings and tested on higher spreads. That should give some buffer and backtest trend is up. Cheers
acosma
Yeah, original settings are not anymore good, it need re-optimization, I reoptimized it and I got very good results on the first period: almost all trades in profits and as you know it has good risk to rewart ratio, but now this strategy seems to have a bad period, I tried to reoptimize it but I couldn't find any other setting better than the one that I actually am using live. So, maybe as I said it's a bad period now, waiting for better period..... Also this morning I watched its trade and after breakout price went down and hit sl (buy position opened)... previous trades also breakout triggered and then price went to the opposite position with loss. I have it running on demo currently. The EA placed two Buy stop trades today (correctly) but did not trigger the trades since the buy limit was not reached, it was not even close... (see pic: http://www.multiupload.com/VUSV3E6XDL ). The trades expired accordingly at 8:30GMT. It should be the same for your trades. I am wondering... can you check your GMT Offset? acosma
I don't know which setting and broker you are using, anyway as you probably know even with the same setting it's sufficient 1 pip tick data difference to make totaly different result, especially spread difference. I used to run this ea both on live and demo with the same broker and setting, almost all trades were the same but sometimes for 1 pip spread difference I got total different results, I was not lucky as you this morning, buy trade trigger was reached and that resulted in a loss. expat1967
Understand but struggeling... In my case the distance from the highest price reached to buy trigger are 17 pips.
