Tazz Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Thank you soundfx by help. I suposse that if I choose to open the GOLD/SILVER pair, I will have to put EA only in ONE pair... Isn´t it? Also I chosen TF 1M... Would you agree with this settings? Please, do feedback... Thank you. Quote
soundfx Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Hi Tazz, If you put the EA in only one pair then there's nothing in the code which knows what you want to arb. it against. I've not used the EA before, though I had a quick look at the code and it appears to compare against orders in the order pool. So...if you want to trade Gold and Silver you need to add the EA to both. Now I'm not sure if you can run other EA's at the same time. There is a magic number which means that you probably can. I don't think it matters which timeframe the EA is attached to because all the timeframe info. it needs appears to be hardcoded. Tazz 1 Quote
Tazz Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Thank you so much for your help soundfx. I will test it, and if there is some success with it I will tell you. Best regards. Quote
Pheniox Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 It is not an arbitrageEA it is a copy of Funyoo's " The Donchian Scalper" Quote
reinerh Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 so one needs to open like 3 charts, EURUSD + EURCHF + USDCHF time frame not important since it compares quotes. and then attach ea to each chart?? does that sound about right??? Quote
soundfx Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Pheniox - it appears to be based on Donchian Scalper but has additional filters and other extra code from what I've seen. reinerh - that sounds right to me, try it in demo and see if you can get it to work. Quote
Pheniox Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 The code contains no routine to arbitrage against any other currency other than the chart it is on and one can not arbitrage against oneself..Just my opinion. Quote
soundfx Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 I'm not a code expert by any means, though I was assuming that it was identifying orders from pairs to arb. against from the order pool, given that we can't find any details on how it needs to be run and that the parameters don't allow you to enter a list of codes you want arb. against. Hmmm...if it's not doing any arb. at all then we must have been given the wrong EA originally. We'll soon see what it actually does if anyone manages to get it to do anything in demo... Quote
danny_pip Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Hello, I've been looking in the code posted here and it's surely not the Arbitrage EA; Normaly al least 2 different brokers should be used together running on the same currency-pair. I hope somebody will like to share the real Arbitrage EA Quote
