Re: Unstoppable-II

were you able to do backtest with the EA?

I took your version and commented out a few lines of code that did some authentication/checking. This one worked for me in that i was able to backtest it fine:

Re: Unstoppable-II

The vendor's published backtest uses a stop loss distance of 350 pips, which makes the balance curve look good:

This is deceptive because the default value in the Expert Advisor is 250 pips.

Maybe the EA should be called Un-small-stoppable.

i used 350 pips.

notice when their test stopped. it all went pear shaped from there...

Ok so I presume it's even worse with a stop loss of 250 pips.

I now notice that the last date of their backtest at 2009-11-03. So now we know why that date was chosen.

I threw this on a 5-digit demo account last night and it's already made a profitable trade. Only change I made to the settings was to set Hedging_allowed to "false" as I have to contend with stupid NFA rules.

In the instructions, it notes that this EA can take a while before it initiates a trade. Maybe this is what you're seeing.

NEVER, EVER use multiupload and other c r a p-sites for file storage, when there are better ones...

www.2shared.com (no annoying commercials, no re-directed pages, no pop-ups)

www.minus.com (no annoying commercials, no re-directed pages, no pop-ups)

I'm not affiliated with the above ones, I simply found that their are the best for file sharing right now!

i used to have this EA. don't know where its gone but i cant find it now. its rubbish though. that backtest went due south in later time periods.
