They only give setups for Esignal:

Zonetrader for Ninja looks very interesting, however the setup is a bit different from the regular Ninja-files.

 

Does anyone have the documentation how to install Zonetrader ?

I have been going around in circles with fileserve for 24 hrs now and still havent got it.

I think that the install is like this.

 

First take your machine ID from Ninja Trader. Rename the file that has MAVHINEID.xml with yours.

 

Extract the files to a temp directory

Open the file with notepad.

 

Find the entry that says:

 

<MachineId>MACHINEID</MachineId>

 

Replace >MACHINEID< with your own.

 

Then save the file.

 

The reason I do this is so the .xml stays instead of .txt.

In addition to your instructions, I had to perform these manual tasks on my Vista machine after executing the setup ZT.1.030.exe to get it to work:

 

Copy C:\Zonetrader\Workspaces\

to

C:\Users\[your user]\Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\

 

Copy C:\Zonetrader\Templates

to

C:\Users\[your user]\Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\

 

Copy C:\Zonetrader\GOES in System32 Folder\dimensiontrader.ini

to

C:\Windows\System32

 

Run cracked version of Ninjatrader

 

To import the ZoneTrader assembly program, use the Import Ninjascript utility:

 

Control Center->File->Utilities->Import Ninjascript->C:\Zonetrader\Program.To.Install\Zonetrader.V.1.030

 

Restart Ninjatrader, Worked like magic. I hope this helps someone.

I highly doubt it: I've done the funky install (it creates a \Zonetrader directory and then the Ninja *.ZIP file you import is in there) - it uses Zonetrader.V.1.030.dll which is dated 2009, at a time when NT7 was not out. Regardless, when they created NT 7.00.2 (or might have been a slightly higher version) they completely changed the protection mechanism used for DLLs, and, any in existence up until that point needed to be rewritten by the author. Aside from that, I think the silliness of this little known indi telling you to short every so often, has me not pursuing it any further.

 

EDIT: Just seeing tradernate's excellent instructions above - which reference NT 6.5 - which confirms this thingy will not work on NT7.

How are you guys still able to use NT 6.5 when most brokers out there only serve data feed for NT 7?

DTN IQfeed

 

Get DTN IQfeed like i do and keep working with history and everything as if nothing happened, i pull up whatever chart i need and not have to worry for data breakdowns, gaps etc. Comes at a cost of course.

 

Costs me 83$ a month with all the data for stocks , futures and forex.

 

But with this plan some futures contracts are delayed by 10 min, which

is fine for my trading as i trade from 60 minutes bars , and daily bars.\

 

Dealyed are DX, Russell, DAX these are the ones i have noticed.
