Want to add that if you don't run the installer on the machine you run this on then your MT4 will crash when you attach the ea to a chart. I've written various EA's myself for fun which would make great returns for several months and then crash in a heap in backtesting. Run one of these in forward test at the right time and it would look amazing ;) I've also had ones which look great in the current year and fall to bits backtested in earlier years. Similarly, ones which look great one year on EURUSD and fall apart in the same year for all other pairs. Consistency and robustness seems to be impossible. I used to think it should be possible to create an EA which could trade almost as good and consistently as a good manual trader, though after spending a lot of time in this game, I've given up on EAs (apart from trade management ones - which can be very handy). The only EAs which could give a reasonably consistent performance from what I've seen are ones which trade breakouts of Daily bars or Asian ranges or whatever - however these sort of "set and forget" trades are so easy to place, that we don't really need an EA for them. I was assuming that setup_0.exe was one of the originally distributed files and if that doesn't work, then the whole setup appears sloppy - hence my assumption that it's the usual junk. The only EAs which deserve attention are MegaDroids, all of them. I don't give a sheet about back testings. Only forwards demo or even better live micro or mini accounts are legitimate testings. Sound Trader the EA is available here on forum search for the thread Silver EA. I trade the same EA like posted here but friend added a stoploss function. Soundfx could do it with the left hand.
