The problem is, firstly, we don't know which way it will move and secondly, there is too much whip lashing just before and often just after so our our stop loss gets hit too often.

 

It's just not possible with Forex or the Dow to make money but it can be done by trading a common commodity just before the news release. This is because it does not whiplash in the same way. It's a huge and liquid market, traded mostly by professionals (unlike Forex) and just doesn't suffer the same nervous insanity...

This is not an impractical, get rich scheme but a sound and reliable way of pulling in realistic profits practically every week. No prolonged chart watching, no waiting for 'the right setup'.

 

Take a look on the right at a typical week's news releases that we trade. On average, four out of five days have at least one critical news release. OK, sometimes there is no surprise and the market doesn't jump but then we simply leave the trade and still often pocket our profit - but nothing in trading is certain!
