I tried to disassemble the code, but to me it appeared encrypted (using w32dasm and then tried PE Explorer). What did you use to get the assembler code? It is encrypted indeed (or well, perhaps just packed, not sure). You have to dump the DLLs from memory first. There's a huge variety of tools to do this. All the problems with heuristic trojan detection does seem curious. It suggests extreme sloppiness in coding on the part of the suppliers. Did anyone who has a legitimate copy of the exe files have a problem during installation? E.g., with being automatically quarantined in bit defender, for example? This is a classic problem with most commercial packers. Due to the antidebugging and other tricks they employ (morphing code, encrypting etc.) some antivirus packages with a low threshold will flag them as potential virus via the heuristic scanning mechanism. The coders don't have much to do with it besides selecting the packer. I have the original setup files (they were posted here if you want to check it yourself) and installed them in a VM with an up to date NOD4 running, which didn't complain about any of the files. But i saw one on the 5th of November. Usually I see only small losses of some pips. But often this ea opens 10 positions at the same time. And in November all this 10 positions were closed with 200 pips loss. This are 2000 pips ! You should consider it with you money management because it could be the next trade which wipes out your account. If you trade with 0.2 lots this would be 4000 $ loss.
