Doesn't seem any better than MT4.

Maybe it looks better than MT4 but no difference on indicators as far as I've seen :-??

for me, the best part is being able to change the time frames..... 2min chart ........8 hour chart...ect...

As far as I know, one of the biggest disadvantages of MT5 that it is not backward compatible with MT4. So this is good for programmers: all the custom indicators and EAs need to be rewritten sooner or later...

that is correct sir, all EA's/ indis etc will need to be recoded for MT5 meaning most of us wont be upgrading for a while, i doubt brokers are going to enforce MT5 for sometime yet so it wont be an issue i hope. and the good robot creators will update fairly quickly to enable MT5 support.

 

 

hopefully its a smooth transition like installing windows... wait what :o @-) :o

The big advantage of MT5 is the support of multicore-CPUs for backtesting/optimizing.

The biggest disadvantages is that MT5 is not backward compatible.

 

I need some times to understand the positionsmanagement :?:

yes, it is 1 min, no tick chart in MT5.

If one is not making any money in Forex trading, one can consider lease out its spare CPU cores for others to perform back testing. Read this:

Everyone will be able to sell it, for example, you can sell your quad core cpu power from 1 to 6 AM. You can also buy the computer power direct form the MQL5 website. For it's services, MetaQuotes will take a small fee from the money which go to the seller.

The death knell is no compatibility. I cant code to save my life. I am not sure, whats gonna happen. :-S
