Asteris
In an older topic here (Hectortrader, I think) I found an indicator which is mentioned to be based on 3 SMAs 30-50-100. I checked the indicator but it did not look to me to work well, even the idea behind it was fine. So I reprogrammed it and I made a new indicator. You can use it to check the main trend of any pair using 3 SMAs and in ALL Timeframes. Here is the code in mq4 for the 3SMATrend_V2.mq4 indicator, I wrote. In the next Message I give you the code for 3SMADashboard_V2.mq4, I also wrote, in case you prefer to use a Dashboard to monitor the trend of all currencies. I think both indicators work just fine. You can find these indicators ONLY in this forum :)
Asteris
3SMADashboard_V2 indicator Here is the code of 3SMADashboard_V2 indicator. This indicator, which I also wrote, uses the previous one. It is a bit heavy to run it on MT4 but I think useful to have it. You can load it at any timeframe and pair and observe the change of trend for many currency pairs in ALL timeframes at the same time, including change of Spread, CDR and ADR. You can find this indicator ONLY in this forum. :) I thank the forum-ers :D (hehehe) for their hospitality... for long time now and this is a small return of me to that ... mashki
Re: 3 SMA Trend indicator v.2 - Trend DashBoard Ver.2 corrected 3SMADashboard_V2 indicator show me only neutral for all pairs... :-?
Asteris
Re: 3 SMA Trend indicator v.2 - Trend DashBoard Ver.2 corrected Hi Mashki You are right. The second Indicator (Dashboard) uses the first one given in my very first message, inside the iCustom function. I had not used the correct name of indicator inside the code of Dashboard indicator. It should be the SAME name with that of the first indicator. Anyway, I corrected it now. The problem happened as I cannot attach yet straight the mq4 file... If it is possible upload a picture of the Dashboard Indicator so everybody can see how it should look like. Thanks

Asteris
Re: 3 SMA Trend indicator v.2 - Trend DashBoard Ver.2 corrected Hi Rey It should be the name of the first indicator. The second indicator uses the first indicator. I already changed it. As it should be inside the code.

Asteris
Re: 3 SMA Trend indicator v.2 - Trend DashBoard Ver.2 corrected Hi Rey I use FXDD without problem I receive the correct thing. You have to use 3 SMAs 30,50,100, close. You should see the white bars but also you should see some of them to be blue or red. it must be something minor relative to how the pairs are named by your broker. I cannot imagine other problem for the moment. Also, use every time new chart to load the indicator until to find out how to do it correctly. It is a heavy indicator as it calculates a lot of things ... for MT4 ...
Guest james_phuc28
Re: 3 SMA Trend indicator v.2 - Trend DashBoard Ver.2 corrected Hi Asteris, Thanks for the nice indicator. By the way, I just found one website where they sell their custom indicators named "ADR Calculator" which is used on MT4 platform. This indicator have more information to help traders to see and trade with the trend more easily and find the Momemtum Exhaustion, etc. Here is the website: http://wwwdotcompassfxdotcom/video/flash/ADR_overview/ADR_overview.html If anyone has this ADR Calculator, please kindly share. Thanks a lot. Best regards, James
