Proprietary stuff so you need to subscribe, nothing is free. I do not recall. but I believe you can use anyone's data feed just as long their product is supported with the platform you are using.

 

Initially I had thought they provide you what to buy/sell, that is not the case, you need to provide the selection criteria to filter what you are looking for. You see them advertising how great they have done in bear/bull markets, but what is their selection criteria? Can you afford to take every signal. if provided?

FYI, Just found from the other forum:

 

VantagePoint only accepts the following data :

 

* Commodity Research Bureau (CRB)

* Commodity Systems, Inc. (CSI)

* Genesis Financial Technologies Inc. (Genesis)

If you do not plan to pay month subscriptions to the above datafeeds, please do not bother with this Vantagepoint resource, since it won`t work with any on other datafeed different from the ones stated above.

When I downloaded this, Mcaffee said it contained a Virus/Trojan. Do you have a different version?

That is true. You can get a paid trial from them or sign up for one year, but I believe the datafeed is a separate cost.

Vantage Point is just a Moving Average Crossover method. It uses a Moving Average and a Predicted Moving Average. Data costs about $20-25 per month. It only uses EOD(End of Day) data.

The internet is littered with stories of people who are totally dissatisfied with Vantage Point. It is overpriced rubbish - don't go there.

I wont qualify it as a scam because if you watch the demonstration video, they clearly say all what has to be said and they say it very clearly and explicitly that this software is just another trading tool and not a silver bullet.

The price that they charge for it .....it should be a SOLID GOLD bullet!!

It is just a moving average crossover system. It uses a regular Moving Average and a Predicted Moving Average.

If you read the E-Book it will explain the software to you. What they do is: They use "intermarket analysis"(they use data from 10 plus markets that they believe are related...for example the ES my be relate to the TF, US, YM ...etc) to determine the predicted values. They claim a 80% accuracy rate for the "Index" this is the 2 day Predicted MA. They also Predict 5 and 10 day MA. This is an EOD only standalone platform. It needs data from CSI or Genesis. After reading the Book you may want to look at their website for more information. They also provide the Predicted High and the Predicted Low for the next day.

you can also use CSI data , thats what i use, but there is trick to it. if you need some hhelp just let me know. csi is around 25 a month the outfit is around 50 or so enjoy, gotta run some errands will check back in later.
