San4x Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Re: [Req]: Forex Insider Pro Read the manual. This EA only runs on Daily TF, EURUSD. The fact that it might backtest poorly is not indication that it performs bad in forward testing. Quote Thanks for the kudos...much appreciated!

kakan6 Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Re: [Req]: Forex Insider Pro Thank you san. well,... as a Rookie(with capital R), I say that FIP is good. Based on this:http://www.4xproject.com/robot/review/forex-insider-pro/ unfortunately, it use big TF. I'm wondering, will it be like AI (Avian Influenza) Vaccine? will market change faster than FIP can get pips??? :?: *AI virus mutates faster than development of its vaccine. Quote

Rio Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Re: [Req]: Forex Insider Pro Forex Insider pro is based on the Slope Direction Line indicator. There's absolutely no reason why it wouldn't work concurrently on multiple currency pairs on the Daily charts either. Although the Indicator's MAPeriod may have to be optimized per pair to get the best results. The Slope Direction line is something of a magical indicator in my opinion. <):) Quote
wvic Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Re: Forex Insider Pro I'm wondering what the entry and exit criteria for this ea is? Is it simply when their indicator changes color? thanks Quote
Rio Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Re: Forex Insider Pro I'm wondering what the entry and exit criteria for this ea is? Is it simply when their indicator changes color? thanks When the indicator changes colour it makes 3 trades, and places a stop at the highest high (or lowest low as the case may be) of the last number of daily bars or so. One trade hits TP at 100, the second at 200, and the third just keeps going until the indicator changes colour. On a particularly good run, this can net you something around 1000 pips a month if the trend is particularly strong. It's optimized for the EUR/USD on the daily charts, but there's nothing to stop you from running it on other pairs, or even on lower timeframes, although you may have to do your own optimization. It's a very simple and good EA. Quote
wvic Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Re: Forex Insider Pro I will do some investigating with it. Does the line repaint? So when I look back visually over charts with the fips line on it will that be accurate to determine the entries? I assume as soon as the line changes color it waits until the close of the bar to make a trade. Also someone mentioned that backtests won't be accurate with this? Does anyone know why? thanks Quote
Rio Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Re: Forex Insider Pro I did have a peek at the source of FIP, and yes, the indicator repaints, but no... the EA actually looks for a proper cross before entering a trade. Quote

IamJon Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Re: Forex Insider Pro This mqh file is used to ensure the orders are placed as the EA intends them to be. Brokers do not guarantee orders will be placed and executed. This mqh file improves the likelyhood that the order is placed when the EA instructs it to be so. Their may also be a library file that you need that works in tandem with the mqh file. The intent is to improve the reliability of the order placement/execution. The EA will probably not place orders without this file. Quote
wvic Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Re: Forex Insider Pro Hi, Rio is right this ea is based on the slope direction line. Here is an alternative to this ea I found http://www.4shared.com/file/189546294/d0ee29a4/Slope_Direction_Line.html http://www.4shared.com/file/189546305/77e9c84c/SlopeTradeADX_v3a__1_.html I would appreciate if a program could upgrade/educate this ea for the following 1. automatic 5 digit price 2. ecn broker compatable 3. Allow user to change the "period" used for each of the 4 slope tf settings. (have a look at the ea to understand. It allows you to choose up to 4 slope lines on different timeframes to confirm entry) 4. Allow up to 3 positions to be entered it to the same as insider pro. With exit options for each one. Thankyou for considering this wvic Quote
Rio Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Re: Forex Insider Pro http://www.4shared.com/file/189577138/deed2ee9/FIPXE.html Here's an XE version of Forex insider Pro 2.6 It includes options for adjusting the MAperiod of the FIPline for other currency pairs. (do your own optimizations). Also you can adjust the number of bars back it check for it's stop loss with another setting. I recommend using FIP only on Daily charts, but it is possible to use it on lower timeframes too, but really NOT recommended! There is a small readme in the package The password is indo-investasi I have not tested the EA to see if it works, but it should. The changes are very few. Wvic, thanks for that. I will probably just figure out how that EA calls upon the indicators and shoehorn it backwards into FIP. halcyonn and noelsforex 2 Quote
plypun Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Re: Forex Insider Pro I used this robot for a month. It's open any position with the right way. But several times the market can't move on that way to 100 Pips. How to set first TP to only 50 Pips. Someone who know, give me that information please. ^:)^ Quote

But several times the market can't move on that way to 100 Pips. How to set first TP to only 50 Pips. Someone who know, give me that information please. ^:)^ You just need to change the "Limit1" to 50 But for using it since a few now, 100 pips is a good target, it as indeed ranged a lot lately, but yesterday move is enough to justify a longer period, if you did it well, you should have still a third trade rolling, in case of EU goes to 1.32 :) Quote
jacknie Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Re: Forex Insider Pro Hi Guys, I have tried to change lot size to 0.01 and it does in parameters, but when it opens a trade it is still 0.10. I adjusted as well percentage risk to 1 from 3 - no difference. Do you experience the same problem? If yes, do you know how to by pass it. Thanks, Jack Quote
