Re: who is the owner of the holy grail? hameed852.mt4live.com

Watch this, a holy grail EA, 3100 pips in 15 hours already! 20 pips stoploss max and large takeprofits. it is not a scalper then it must be a magic.

But who is the owner of the secret wapon?

the magic just works well.. #:-S

Hi Phoenix,

Your results on mt4stats look very good, though I've seen similar results at various points in time for most EAs.

Have you been running your system before you put up the stats? If so, what's the full track record look like ?

Whenever I see EUR/CHF it makes me think of FAPTurbo. Have you created a "tweaked" version of FAPTurbo which will run 24 hours a day specifically for EUR/CHF ?

Great work! \m/

It sounds as though you could well have found a "holy grail" here. I'd like to see more extensive results, though 3 months is a good start, particularly if you're pulling in the same sort of profits.

You're spot on with the risk control aspect especially when it comes to EA's, a 1:1 risk/reward EA would be very nice...

Can you offer any clues on how you calculate your entries and exits or is it top secret at the mo. ?

Re: who is the owner of the holy grail? hameed852.mt4live.com

what you need is an EA that lets you control the risk by adjusting the min trade range lot size SL based on the ADR of the pair traded and will close out trades at a given profit target and reset itself. Then YOU control all the risks and it cannot run away on you, small staedy consistant profits.

I have more results on the server where it runs right now, will get them tomorrow and post them here

Re: who is the owner of the holy grail? hameed852.mt4live.com

i am sure the EC results will fall off to about 76% as well over time with a 7/2 win loss ratio, all pairs tested have settled into that range so far depending on settings but I only use conservative settings not looking to get rich only make consistant pips.

thats where most fail, they look to maximise pips not limit risk first

Re: who is the owner of the holy grail? hameed852.mt4live.com

Hi Phoenix,

Thanks for posting your results - they look excellent!

Thanks for the advice too:

what you need is an EA that lets you control the risk by adjusting the min trade range lot size SL based on the ADR of the pair traded and will close out trades at a given profit target and reset itself. Then YOU control all the risks and it cannot run away on you, small staedy consistant profits.

I agree that using ADR is a great way to ensure that your EA is flexible enough to move with the longer term market compression and expansion. ADR for EUR/USD can range between 80 pips and 160 between different years as I recall, and I'm sure that this is part of the downfall of a lot of EAs which appear to work great for some time then suddenly collapse in a big heap.

AUD/CAD spread can be quite high (e.g. 10 pips) as it's one of the minor pairs, I'm surprised that you can still make profits on this pair trading so often. I've run ForexMetaRobot in the past which traded AUD/NZD which typically has 20 pip spread, the spread was the real killer with that system.

Did you base your EA on an existing one or it is purely "home grown" ?
