Today EURGBP again.

 

That almost wipe out this month profit to breakeven. :(

i use mega droid 1.11 with adt5 tactic open 4 chart for eurusd and 2 loss, 1 profit and 1 not open trading

Are your settings based on backtests/optimization? They seem reasonable to me to deduct an hour, it should be safer.

Yes. my setting is base on backtest (not optimization) since 01/01/2009 with several brokers. pfgbest, alpari, prime4x, fxopen, atc broker, tadawul fx and fibo group. i backtested with 2 different gmtoffset setting (default and -1). for all brokers -1 setting was much better. my statement clearly shows my setting was ok, because i had 91 trades and only 5 loss(only 1 SL), while others complained about several SL.

my loss from august 18th:

eurchf: -16.9 pips

eurchf: -3.4 pips

eurgbp: -7.3 pips

gbpusd: -64.5 pips (the only trade that hit SL)

eurgbp(today): -14 pips

 

now i am in profit +336.6 pips

 

i conclude the real results confirm the backtest results.

What is the default trading hours for Eur/Gbp on Logic 3 ? Anybody Knows? :-?

I'm using Alpari UK. i got 2 trades include today on EUR/GBP open after 0:00 which will put you in risk to hit SL.

If i knew the trading hour, i might reduce the STOP trading hour to one hour earlier.

I've never used usdcad logic 2. but logic 1 performed ok for me. about gmtoffset it is not -1. you should find what autogmtoffset shows. then deduct 1 and set for manual gmt. for example if autogmt shows +5 use +4 manulay.

Yes, it's that, it's my broker GMT - 1. So with Alpari UK, I must use GMT +1 actually.

Hi nimaparham, which broker are you using o live account (I think your results are the best so far)?

 

Yesterday EUR/GBP hit S/L again on live account (pound reaching a fresh 5-months high). Assian session is becoming more and more volatile, killing MDPro's positive performance. October is one of the most volatile months in general and I guess it started early

 

As you can see live account is opening less trades then demo again. EA tries to open trades on live account but gets "TradeDispatcher: trade context is busy" error in MT4 journal. I was told that this is due to using multiple MDP EA on the same terminal (I'll set each EA on different terminal from now on), but I'm not getting this error on demo terminal which is set exactly the same??? Default trading hours (set on ATC account) took a lot of hits.

Search a few post back saying you where using mdp v1.1 bbrain. I downloaded that version (well i think i did), but i cannot find the logic setting, so probably the wrong one. :-?

I'm thinking, if all the losses with GBPUSD and EURGBP were due to the news, would a newsfilter help that?

I actually lost more than the stoploss... it didnt stop at the stoploss :((

and I saw comment like [sl/gap]... notice the "gap"... first time saw that.

I think not. Only medium important news was on jpy pair at 1.51am (GMT+1).

i was starting to do some back testing with different currencies , time and logics.... starting 1st Jan 09 till now, i haven't got very far......

 

1) eurusd 1900 & 2000 hrs logics 1,2,3 &4

2) eurusd 2100 & 2200 hrs logics 1,2,3 &4

 

However 1) makes virtually no profit and in fact with default logic 1 a small loss

2) doubles the account,

 

What i have noticed so far is that there seems to be precious little difference as to which logic to use..maybe £2 or £3 ..anyone any views or comments before i get too deeply into this and waste a load of time

The new version includes a much requested feature plus some fixes for

issues that were reported in the previous version:

 

- an OrderComments parameter has been requested many times and

has now been included. We suggest using this with caution as any

regular order attribute allows unscrupulous brokers to more easily

identify a particular EA

 

- the Version number displayed on the Inputs tab is now displayed in

a slightly different way to ensure that the correct (actual) version is

shown after performing an update

 

- an issue that could prevent RecoveryMode from functioning correctly

has been resolved

 

- changes to the Padding values are now implemented immediately

after clicking the OK button on the Inputs panel

 

- previously, the ReceiptCode was not always able to be saved due

to issues with Windows user account permissions - in such cases,

it was necessary to re-enter the ReceiptCode whenever MegaDroid

was attached to a chart. The code is now saved in two ways which

allows it to be retrieved even when user account permissions are

incorrect

 

- minor updates have been included in an updated manual

Well I wouldn't recommend using megadroid pro on eur/gbp untill it shows us more proofs.
