I only had small positive gains today, no loss. BTW I want to attach monthly live trading results but I can't upload.Which extention upload supports?

Guys, I don't know if this is all co-incidence, with the recent MD releases etc, but....

In my recent posts you may have read me cursing the double trades that were opening for me... all losers on Monday night. I complained to my VPS, but they said nothing was wrong on their side, and it was only happening on the FXCM MT4 platform I was running with MDPro v1.01ee (No other EA's on there by the way, but I had 10 charts open).

 

Last night (Tuesday), I had the same double trades problem, but this time the trades were showing in the Broker Trade Window at the bottom of the screen, but no trade entry point markers showing on any charts. Also, I had set Aggressive to False, but the EA was opening S1 AND S2 trades (and doubling them up too !!). Obviously I closed out the trades and shut down the platform. After losing 20% of my live account on Monday I wasn't going to risk that again.

 

So what the hell is happening?? Can anyone tell me? I don't know about these things, but... when we use our educated versions, does it go home to MD server for trade instructions, or does it run in an isolated environment on our machines? Wondering if they are tinkering at their end?

Just a thought.

@unikin : so with Alpari Uk (Gmt + 2), what is thé correct settings hours ?

And what your MDP version ?

 

If you want to use the same trading hours as me on my TDFX accounts you should use GMT= +1 (manual setting). With them (GMT=+1) MDpro will open trades 1 hour later then default. I don't know if it's better then default. I had less S/L than others though but only around 150+ pips up this month on live account (worst month since start using MDPro).

 

I use Don's MegaDroidPro_v1_00ee2xFix version still with dll file. But it works the same as no dll bbrain's version (at least in backtesting).

According to Don (one of the first members who educated MDPro), educated versions don't contact the author's server anymore.

its been suggested that with low liquidity in the market and the FOMC meeting statement will come about 1 hour from now at 2pm EST that it may be better not to trade at all tonight or evne tehrest of teh week!! any views?

 

 

 

btw...i'm starting to get in a muddle on who's doing what and with whom with mdpro and whats winning and losing (the only thing i do knwo is that i m losing haha!).....is theer a way of correlating the info?

looking at whats happening now i wish i hadn't traded and it looks as i its going to be a heavy night...... another ea to be canned i guess..if live was performing like demo tonight i'd be doing fine....just a reminder that demo bares no resemblance at all to live...so frustrating and disapointing

i tell a lie i had a audusd at 0.50 hit stop loss for £132.09 another audusd trade was opened for 2.42 lots (where did that come form?) sl for £636.32...this was on a £3k account!!! how did that happen i've already had three other stop thats losses four on the trot...this has to be heading for the bin surely!!!

i suppose the problem is that since the just seem that since April there’s always an excuse not to trade….we were all looking forward to the summer..calmer waters we were told..then by the end of august it was ‘well summers never any good'….September it picks up with a good run till christmas!!..then its the us holidays , we're only three weeks into september and we're talking holidays again now its the asian holidays we only have four days a week..i live part of the year in asia and they have permanent holidays compared to europe, for a start they celebrate every newyear going, christmas , budhist holidays every month tied in with all the Hindu holdays...its difficult to tell when the holidays are business affecting or not....

I see your point now... but there is nothing that can be done, if they have a Holiday market is out of balance, Japan is a big part of it and especially when you trade Asian season...
