Todays trades on TDFX (live, demo) and ATC brokers (GMT-4) demo. EUR/GBP hit S/L on all three accounts. I'm not exeriencing many reqoutes (maybe 1 every day) on TDFX live account for now but I'm trading only 0.1 standard lot per trade so with bigger lot sizes number of requotes could risen. After this hits I'm very close to break even on live account (I'm hoping this losing trend will reverse soon). Much too early to say anything but ATC won this day. Let's see how it continous.

My settings are slippage set to 3 and the spread is set to 0 or the spread default setting. Obviously my slippage via ECN execution was much more than 3 last night, so I'm not sure this setting means much of anything under STP trading conditions.

 

Yes, that Might be it. When my spread was set to "0", I was getting more trades, but I was getting more loses. Also, the IVY Robot lost a lot of money on my account using default settings. Once I fix the IVY money leak, I will try widening the spread again on MDP. But, if I do it now I will get another margin call. X_X

I use GoMarkets. Since they upgraded the servers, the spread/prices on demo and live are exactly the same, as far as I can tell.

i am live with gotrader using megadroid and dragonpips on a micro account, i get the same trades on demo as live and the spreads are identical.

I just want to thank you guys for really doing a great job here. I have a 20% gain night behind me and just wanted to share my actual portfolio settings because I have been asked a lot recently...

 

Here we go :

 

Dealer : Alpari UK Classic Account (Lots 0.1+)

MegaDroid XE 1.2 (my very favourite one, has boosted my account like nuts in the last 2 weeks :)

 

Timeframe : H1

AutoGMTOffsets off, manual +2 for Alpari UK

Agressive TRUE (I'm not a p*ssy :)

Recovery TRUE (see line above)

Use Break even TRUE, SetBreakEvenAt 6, BreakEvenShift 2.5 (but experimenting on this, has twice saved me yet)

StartHour S1 : 19-23 (because of Alpari +2 so this equals 21h-01h local german time)

StartHour S2 : 20-23

no other settings changed from standard

 

FAP Turbo v4.4 / v4.7 / v4.8 : trading NO MORE with this one

 

In my eyes it did not make enough trades recently, and as I am already running 3 EA's I did not want to risk too much in case of a SL. Using the free margin from FAP on MegaDroid instead, which gains me a LOT more ...

i'm gutted...having had such a good demo run with mdproee going live kicks off with a different story, the disparity between demo and going live seems like a chasm (as usual)......the following is my live account however only look at the trades from the 14th......

 

my live account is on a vps ...my demo accounts are on my own pc, unfortunately my router has locked up three nights this week so i can't make a true comparison, any tips and advice are always welcome

Maybe you need to check the Money Management side: I looked at March when you had about 3000 equity but some trades were around 1.5 - 1.7 lots. You can win big but when the trades go against you, you also lose heavily. I normally trade 5% risk, so it works out around 0.4 lots of base currency per 10K of equity. Also, what broker are you using? If the difference between demo and live environment is so big, a switch to a different broker may help?

thanks for your interest..back in march i was running fapturbo...i've been running mdproee live since the 14th september so the stats since the 14th are the only relevant ones. I had been running demo accounts prior to that

Megadroid had a pretty rubbish trading session. JadeFX picked up a USDCAD trade because of the low spreads which ended up going against it -- which the other live accounts forutnately missed.

Once again, the EURGBP continues to scare me.

So do I, I didn't have any SL during the last Month, since August 15th till now. I just had 2 loss with EurGbp. one 18 pips and the the other one 15 pips. I'm absolutely satisfied with performance. My broker is PFGbest (ECN, NFA regulated, one of the best well capital brokers out there). check my statement with following link:

i had my last open trade close 24 mins ago (gbpchf) finally took the guts out of my profit this week (actually i'm about £20 up on a 2k account)..just such a shame after so much really good demo and testing........the original md on adt eurusd is doing really well in comparison!!.......mind you there's always tonight to finish the week off.....I mean that ...errrr....postively .....well here's fingers crossed....pitty to resort to out and out luck..or should i do the horses instead this afternoon?....football betting is going best for me of anything at the moment...is forex out of the gambling and guessing arena?....I'm not sure.....I was really hoping it would be but after 15 months I am less convinced than ever (i mean i started out thinking it wasn't now i am begining to think it is).......

The original MD, with the same GMT year round (+1 at Alpari UK) doesn't trade much but storms. Barely ever loses. My account with just this is doing great though it doesn't trade frequently it is usually short and sweet.

 

The other pairs do not backtest well over a long time period though sure they look good for this year or whatever (though EURCHF & EURGBP MDPro look good) and are not consistent. A lot of people post here when they do well but not when they lose. Do not lose hope. Either that or go with Robominer and a 2k account, MD at low risk, maybe fap16 (the original and best version) low risk; set and forget, add to your account with football wins and you will be free in 10 years.

Sorry but that doesn't prove anything. If you're using multiple EA on the same terminal you could get warning "trade context busy" or reqoute and EA wouldn't open losing trade. Most of the people here took a hit on gbp/usd and eur/gbp. That said I still believe we have potentialy profitable ea in the long term.

This weeks live trades using bbr_v11. Not a good week but hey thats trading

 

I changed to using risk over all pairs instead of fixed lot sizes, I want to stay in the game lol

 

I have also starting manual trading again so I have removed those trades from the list and only showing what MDP has done.

you have to set it 33. This is the "force" mode, where the four predefined currency pairs can be forced to be treated with a different logic than the automatically allocated logic.

 

The best way is to watch the chart after starting the expert. It shows the used logic.

If you enter 11, it will be 1...

At the end, I found out that I won't be able to use JadeFX :( because of (stupid) OFAC country restrictions... I need to look further for some similar broker :(

 

@Barbara, if you considered JadeFX as your future broker, you won't be able to use them either.
